Alken is a lovely quiet village next to the River Mosel.
Alken is a lovely quiet village next to the River Mosel. Boat trips leave from the centre of the village. There is a good bus service with two stops in the village. There is a petrol station2 km away and a supermarket on the edge of the village.MichaelUnited Kingdom

The apartment was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was delivered to the apartment each morning. The owners Philip and Corina were extremely friendly as were their staff. Boat trips to Cochem and Koblenz etc. were available from nearby. There was also a good bus service with a bus stop very close to the hotel.MichaelUnited Kingdom

Enjoyed walking from the hotel through the vineyards to the Burg Thurant. Alken village also very interesting. Good base to visit Burg Eltz a fairy tale castle.
