nice located lodge with one of the best pool areas we had in CR. Good breakfast and better food than expected if you stay with local dishes. the tour with Walter was excellent. We learned so much and he is really a nice guy!

We just did the free activities (multiple waterfalls, hotsprings as well as Vieja national park) and were blown away by the value of those experiences and there's an impressive range of other experiences and tours available for anyone seeking a fairly active holiday. All through the day, we felt surrounded beauty of the hotel gardens, range of landscapes (rainforest, drier volcanic formations), and birdwatching.
The breakfast is buffet style where you can request a fried egg at the grill; many sweet/savory, Costa Rican/American, healthy/more indulgent options.

The small hiking trail around the hotel was very nice. Really beautifully laid out. The hot springs, bubbling mud and hot steam were also impressive. It makes you realize that you are very close to the volcano or gives you the feeling of being on the volcano. The complex and the little houses are very beautiful and well maintained. Yes it's a really nice hotel with a great pool and spa facility.
