What a beautiful little town, warm and colorful.

What a beautiful little town, warm and colorful. The people are great. Good bars and restaurants. The only downside its parking, for the must part if you are not staying in a hotel in town you only option is street parking, the issue it’s that streets are norrow and there is a lot of people and cars making it really hard to find parking. Otherwise everything else is awesome.

The small town is bustling with action of the local economy (coffee & dairy farms) with some tourists taking in the action at the plaza. The town is exceptionally clean with buildings being renovated to their original splendour. Everything is within walking distance. Visited a local coffee Finca (La Palma) with Julian, a family run operation (Check-in office on the edge of the plaza - Highly Recommended

Filandia is a lovely small town to visit.

Filandia is a lovely small town to visit. It's nice just walking around the town but there are also many places to visit in the general area. We traveled with young kids who loved driving the kid sized willy jeep trucks in the plaza, walking up the 'mirador' right outside of town and visiting el Parque del Cafe. We all loved Valle de Corcora, which is spectacular and should not be missed. We were able to organize private transport to area locations through our hotel but the information center by the plaza also gave us the number of another person who could help us, though it took a day to hear back and we had already organized with someone else. We found it a bit tricky to get to some places outside of Filandia with children on public transportation (getting to Pereira and Armenia is easy by bus) by having to change buses, etc.... Kids only have so much patience. You could easily spend 4 to 5 days in this region with day trips from Filandia. We loved it!

Visiting with the citizens of Filandia in the shops and on the street...very friendly and inviting. Colorful, amazing exterior house painting of windows, doors, walls! Town people were authentic, down-to-earth!

Filandia is a lovely town with beautiful, bright and colourful buildings. We walked down to a cafe that had spectacular views of the countryside. The town square is lovely and there are plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants.

Fantastic colours - even the most humble homes and buildings showed real effort had been put into this. Lovely countryside and friendly people. Excellent food with many restaurants/ bars providing real value for money. We visited the lovely Danilo's small coffee farm (arranged by the hostel) which provided an excellent insight into this industry, (so cheap at 20,000 pesos). The owner of the hostel also helped us to arrange a guided walk in the rain-forest at El Palacio del Barbas - an excellent package at 40,000 pesos which included jeep transport, coffee on arrival, explanation and short tour of the immediate area, guided walk by Alberto and welcome 'limonade' after our exertions. Fellow guests helped to make our time in Filandia and the Hosteria De Mi Pueblo a very happy and memorable holiday.
