For an authentic experience rather than staying in an impersonal luxury hotel then this is the place for you. Mark the manager is very friendly and knowledgeable and always willing to help. Location is great near two subway stations and although rooms are small they contain everything you need. This hutong is very beautiful and unique. Lots of lovely restaurants and shops within walking distance and would highly recommend staying here.

Very good breakfast with both Chinese and Western-style food, with nice city view since the buffet restaurant is on top of the building; there's chefs making noodle and Wonton soup at the breakfast Buffet. The location is very child-friendly – next to Beijing Zoo (walking distance), Paleozoological Museum of China (just walk cross the street), Beijing Planetarium (walking distance), and close to Beijing Acquarium. The metro subway station is also a couple of minutes walk. I've been returning to this hotel with my kid every time we go to Beijing.

Especially a lady name Lingli Xia, after cleaning the room everyday, she always leaves heart warming hand written note in hotel room, and supply with useful items like herbal drink sachets and fresh toilet seat cover. Little things like this does make a big impact on travelers stay. Would recommend this hotel to my friends!!! :)
