Mary is amazing, she planned whole 4 days for us, which was best time spent in China. Her knowledge of park is top. We had breakfast and dinners and her cooking is just amazing. The Valley Lodge is a super recovery spot after long days of nature and hiking. They gave us an upgrade to a better room with bathtub on the balcony - which was super cool! Rain always welcomed us at the entrance and helped us with booking tickets for the scenic areas and shuttles. The service was excellent! Also all the other staff was super friendly and attentive. In the evening they sang some Zhangjiajie Folksongs specially just for us. We loved it there and didn‘t want to go - you should stay there for at least 4-5 days to have enough time for the national park, mountains and enjoying the hotel! The food was also really good, especially the hot pot. They also gave us a little tea tasting and you can join some group events in the morning no matter if it is off-season or season time. The view from their heated infinitiy pool was breathtaking and you can easily recharge your energy there. The valley lodge is very close to the entrance for experience the Avatar Hallelujah Mountains and is less crowded than other entrance. We were tthere without a guide and could find everything very easy. Rain brought us directly there and helped us translating at the ticket counter. All over was it one of my best experience there in Zhangjiajie and you will never forget the great service and the breathtaking, amazing views of the national forest. (In 4 days we saw: Avatar Hallelujah Mountains, Tianzi Mountain, Tianmen Mountain, Baofeng Lake and the Glass Bridge)

Yao made this an unforgettable stay for us! He got us tickets to the park, gave us a personalised route to hike, helped out with my birthday celebration, gave us the coolest ride to the park, arranged a taxi for us, and overall was really great to be around. The hotel is also very pretty and the views are amazing. Definitely worth a visit!

Clean and spacious double room, great value for the room rate. Location is just a 5 minute walk from the park entrance. Ralph is a great host and can boom tickets for the national park. Further, he organized luggage transfer to the airport for me to make sure I didn’t have to come back to Wulingyuan after taking a day trip by train from Zhangjiajie.

Whether you are an international traveller or otherwise, this is a good choice of stay. The management staff, especially Carol, speak English well and had been very helpful in purchasing tickets to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park on our behalf as well as helping us to navigate into and around the park. We couldn't see the sunset as it was foggy. We also chose to upgrade our tent to a room; that was a good choice because the rain was storming. But in exchange was a night of good conversation with the staff, with all of us surrounding a table with burning charcoal underneath and tea in our hands. This is not your typical stay; it is rare to find accommodation up the mountain, let alone a camping site. I wish them all the best.

Very clean. Furnishing are new and well maintained. Heating is excellent. We are a family of 3 from Singapore and spent a total of 5 nights here, climbed various parts of of the zjj forest reserve. Strongly recommended.
