Unione is the perfect stay for exploring the surrounding area of Valle Maggia. The location is breathtaking, right next to the mountains and a little river nearby you feel submerged in nature. Unione has a beautiful garden with all sorts of fruits and flowers growing. You can eat your breakfast outside taking in the view and the serene atmosphere. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the shared bathrooms were also spotless! They keep the house cool during the hot day which is very satisfying as well. Price vs. Value is 10/10.

We had a great time in Locarno. We booked the rooms with the shared bathroom, and even though it's not the same as having your own bathroom, I have to say they were very clean and did not bother us to use them at all. The location is great, there is a bus stop right next to the hotel and you can go to the center and other towns easily. The service was excellent, Everyone was very nice and helpful. And the breakfast was delicious, we enjoyed it every morning :)

This was the nicest staff I've ever encountered. I literally felt like I was staying with family. They were SO nice, went the extra mile in every way possible, and everything was perfect. Nespresso machine in the room, lovely bathroom stocked with unique items for your travel needs, the balcony with beautiful views of the town, the water, and the church. The breakfast and food was amazing, they gave you super clean and nourishing water, and has the best little candies that they encouraged you to take upon leaving. Everything was comfortable, clean and well taken care of.

THIS VIEW 😍 I never knew I could visit a place that had snow capped mountains and palm trees at the same time! Our concierge described Ascona as a “sleepy village” and I couldn’t agree more! Such a cute place and our room was wonderful! We loved sitting on our terrace and it was conveniently located near restaurants. We walked around near the lake a bit before leaving in the morning. If you want a lovely spot to stay in Ascona, I highly recommend Hotel Elvezia ☺️
This place was like waking up in a fairy tale, and the hosts were absolutely amazing. They communicated so well and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome as well as help me to learn about the part of my family from gordevio. Quite possibly the best hospitality out of everywhere I've traveled in the world. The breakfast was perfect, light, and flavorful. The room was spotless. The hosts were awesome. We seriously considered extending our stay at this place but had another city to get to. Will definitely go back!! Thank you!!
