The cabin was clean and the fireplace and view was great, so much better than a hotel room. I could have spent a few months there. I will be recommending to all my friends.

Tally Ho Inn, hotel in Oxtongue Lake

This Muskoka Inn is situated on the shores of Peninsula Lake. Algonquin Park is 32 km away. Satellite TV and a coffee maker are provided in each unit at Tally-Ho Inn.

We stayed in one of the Mapleview rooms and were very happy with our stay. The price was amazing and I enjoyed the jet tub after a day hiking at the nearby Limberlost Reserve. We also enjoyed the fireplace. We would definitely consider coming back during the spring/summer/fall to get out on the lake. I would like to stay in one of the stand-alone cottages. Location is good for exploring the area and close enough to Hunstville for amenities.

Location was great however beds were terrible to sleep on.

Location was great however beds were terrible to sleep on. Also I'm 5'2 and could barely take a proper shower...not sure how a bigger person would manage in there as showers are ridiculously tiny.

Perfect location, only 10 mins drive from the west gate. Cottage is located in pine woods, beside the lake. Beautiful environment. Nice facilities, kitchen, bbq, shower. Canoe, kayak, paddle boat free for use. Price is great for the location. Friendly staff.

    Great location.

Great location. Perhaps we were too early in the season (mid May) as the ice had only melted on the lake a week prior to our visit! It was too cold to take boats out in the lake (although some did). The visitors centre at the Algonquin Park had plenty of interesting things to see and there were informative walks to take . Occasional wildlife sightings (Moose but no Bears ) made our time complete

Perfectly situated at Oxtongue Lake. We enjoyed the view from the cabin onto the lake, looks spectacular with morning mist. All windows of the cabin are prepared against mosquitos so that there were no insects inside the cabin (we were in June). We loved the most the free use of canoe or kayak any time. Very often we went paddling for a hour in the evening.

While the cottage was compact it was beautifully appointed. The furnishings were well placed to give a sense of space. It had everything we needed. The location was great as we were just outside of Algonquin Park. The cottage was located just across the road from a lake, so we had beautiful views. The hosts were very accommodating.

We came here to go to Algonquin park and the proximity to the park was great. The cottage itself was very clean and had all the amenities needed for the stay. The private beach was well maintained as well and there were many beach games provided as well.
