First hosts Pamela and Peter incredibly gracious knowledgeable and friendly
Secondly the great both in quality and quantity breakfast as well as other refreshments offered as you arrive and stay
Thirdly the absolutely amazingly property and house. All well appointed with furniture and found art treasures from the natural world
Fourthly the restful walks along the beach
Would definitely stay there again Truly a mi casa es du casa
The hotel was clean and quiet. However, and this is a big minus, because we booked on line (Booking.com) we were limited to a room on the second floor. No elevator or escalator, just a long flight of stairs. Very difficult for me to navigate, as I had a recent knee replacement. This 2nd-floor-if-you-book-on-line was not evident on the Booking.com site. The clerk made no effort to accommodate our request to have a ground floor room, at the same price, despite the fact that the hotel was far from full. Also: the restaurant is a St Hubert next door, although linked to the hotel. The food was terrible.

Our time in Montmagny was centered around the old city I think they call it. It is a clean quiet and historic part of the city and very pleasant. A river divides the area and the river mouth features a wide but shallow waterfall and ferry terminal to the islands.

A strong history 350 years and a sense of the achievements over this time - beautiful views of the St Lawrence en route and on arrival - many locales to visit here -music /accordian competition and free performances, trails along the river and a beautiful drive along the river both east and west on the 132
some other great dining to be had beside Maison Rousseau -

We were given a room in the motel section across the road from reception. It was clean and quite modern but had a ‘sterile’ fell about it, which I guess a lot of people like these days.
At check in you can prepay $8 p.p. for a breakfast in the restaurant attached. It was a nice cosy restaurant, polite staff, the breakfast was well presented and good value.
We would probably stay again if out that way.

A lovely spot to unwind!
A lovely spot to unwind! Beautiful parks, clean, home proud and safe neighbourhood’s to walk through. This area loves Pee Gee Hydrangea’s, they are everywhere on mass! Various species..
There were a few old cars out on Sunday, even a beautifully restored/ (pumped up inside) Hudson!!! Equipped with the original owner in the back seat...a skeleton🤣😂
We didn’t get to take the Ferry to the Islands due to limited time and tide flows...but those who had been said they are pristine!

Beautiful well maintained chalet.our problem with the door...
Beautiful well maintained chalet.our problem with the door code was quickly solved but we would in future recommend confirming this number. We were two couples and really appreciated the space and comfort
The building was remarkable. It was developed in a way that kept the character of its age yet it was a fully functioning Inn with the expected amenities.
The staff were just absolutely charming, making every effort to make our stay enjoyable. Both the night and day s.hift people did double duty as hotel desk clerks and restaurant servers and they did so without any difficulty
the property was clean and attractive, the pool looked inviting though we didn’t have time to try it. the hotel was clean and comfortable. the room was clean, comfortable, quiet and well-appointed. continental breakfast was nicely done. the young woman worked hard to keep everything filled and clean.
Very cute and cozy hotel in charming little town. Room was sparkling clean. Breakfast selection was very good ( could have gad some bottled or filtered water though) . Small pool was just perfect for the family. Nice place, will stay again next time for sure.
The owner was very nice. Breakfast was good, which is exceptional for Quebec where you literally cannot find decent food to eat except junk food. The hotel also had its charm but was not clean and comfortable enough

Staff was friendly. Our room and entire hotel areas were very clean, in good repair. There were decent breakfast choices. The adjoining St Huberts was convenient.
