It is what it is. Don't expect anything particular good. However for the price the cost/performance ratio is okay.

Yambol, with a population of about 70,000 people, quite surprised me. It was much cleaner and more pleasant than the BG town local to where we live, which is of a similar size. I was impressed! Loads on places to eat and a walk around the centre is very enjoyable.

The main city centre have gone through major changes. I visited in the winter but I think the park and river would look lovely in the summer. The city has lots of the old style buildings and you go round the corner, and you are meet with a really clean and modern place.

Yambol is a calm, small town you can enjoy a short break from the hectic city life without missing out on city comforts like pubs, clubs and restaurants. It also has lots of history nearby: the city mosque and bazaar and rare examples of Ottoman medieval architecture and Kabile - situated just 2km from the city has a whole trachian city for you to explore
