Melnik is an absolutely gorgeous town with amazing old architecture and Pyramid rocks towering over the town. Its really hot here during summer. A hotel with a pool highly recommended. The people are friendly. Service and food is great. Being a well reputed wine region the wine everywhere is very very good.
Everything is walkable in the main centre. So many restaurants to choose from. Make sure you make the hike to the monastery. The views from the top are spectacular.

Melnik is a very beautiful village, stay there but do not eat at the local taverns if you are not bulgarian. Very expensive, they charge double price compared to what they charge to the locals. You can have exceptional food quality and half prices at Petric and maybe at other nearby villages

Melnik is lovely with lots of wine to try. Good for hiking too. Walking to the monastery is a must!
It does NOT have a pharmacy. Finding basic things like paracetamol was a nightmare. A kind member of staff from a hotel gave me one of his arthritis meds.

Regarding the hotel - everything was perfect - the room, the breakfast, the staff. The hotel also has an excellent location - on a walking distance from all wine cellars & restaurants.
Melnik itself is the Bulgarian wine capital - so go there anytime you visit the country.
And do not miss the Museum of the wine.

Melnik is the smallest and also my favourite town in Bulgaria. Its wine culture, its architecture and the nature surrounding it, are unique. If I would take my foreign friends to any place in the country, Melnik would definitely be in the top 3. Fully recommend!

Hikers, nature lovers, photographers and wine lovers should not miss this town, which is known as the "smallest town" in Bulgaria with around 200 residents. It's one of the few places where nature has shaped big sand pyramids, some of which can reach a height of 100 meters. There are unlimited possibilities for hikes from the town, the most popular are to Rozhen Monastery and to a church in Zlatolist where a 1,300-year-old platanus tree is located. The town sees many tourists and plastic pollution is a big problem, like in most of Bulgaria. Soon there will be more discarded plastic bottles than pyramids here.
We loved just about everything ! What a great experience ! After 2 nights there we really felt at home and didn’t want to leave !
Kaloyan and Sofia were amazing hosts and amazing cooks! Don’t bother eating in the restaurants in Melnik, eat in the house, everything is home cooked with the freshest local products !
The house itself is very impressive with beautiful view over Melnik. Definitely ask to visit their cave!
Hotel is pet friendly, beds are very comfortable…. We will be back for sure !
The hotel is 5’ on foot to Melnik in a green zone and you can find it easily. It has a big private and free parking, a reception always open, a large restaurant and many common areas.
The weather was quite warm so we didn’t use either heating or air conditioning.
We didn’t try the restaurant for dinner.
I liked the breakfast very much: yogurt, jam and fruit in syrup were delicious.
Very good value for money
Location was perfect, right in the heart of Melnik and parking was still no issue! The host was very welcoming and kind! The aircon worked very well, the windows also could open, and one even had mosquito net! The matrass and pillows were comfy and the whole place was very clean. We enjoyed the breakfast at the restaurant downstairs, the Bulgarian mekitzi with feta cheese were great!
Very nice hostess who was able to use her phone to translate her Bulgarian to English. Impeccably clean hotel. Easy walk to downtown area, and plenty of room for parking by European standards. As a small 6 room hotel, there is no dining area, but we were able to go to the hotel next door for breakfast on weekends, or a two-minute walk downtown otherwise.
The hotel is very cosy, clean and very nice designed, you will feel that owner of hotel was making design with care and love. Very nice view to Melnik from room windows. Owner is very nice and kind, food is delicious. I absolutely recommend this place to all :)
A very nice, brand new hotel with an excellent location in Melnik, right at the top of the main paved street and at the bottom of the dirt street up to Kordopulova House. Very good breakfast, nice management, spacious room. Was very happy with our stay!
We liked, no, we loved it all. It was clean, spacious, had everything you need when staying at a hotel. The garden with the pool are sooo relaxing and beautifully maintained. But the thing we liked the most was the hospitality of the staff and owner.
A wonderful place to stay while being in Melnik :) It's a family-owned hotel and the young guy who took the business from his father is extremely polite, lovely, and professional! I just wanna believe that there are more people like him :)
Great location on a hill overlooking beautiful Melnik and its hills. Calm, comfortable beds, easy parking. We liked very much the dinner in the hotel's restaurant; breakfast was not buffet but a la carte, but ok.
The hotel is located in the center of Melnik with a great view over the town and the rocks. Also from the restaurant there is a great view. There is a small garden with a waterfall and a parking area.
Charming local hotel, well located for the variety of activities we wished to undertake. Good breakfast, and the host arranged transport for us to our next stay.
