Wellington Motel has not returned my $100 "security deposit". We checked out Sunday morning October 1 and today is Thursday October 5. my only critic of Wodonga was the lack of Police on the roads which makes you feel safe. walking the streets looking for food on saturday night I would have been alot more secure had I atleast seen 1 patrol car - none we were on the streets 6.30 10.30 saturday night

Travelling to catch up with family so a convenient location for us to stay and spend our days with the family. Beautiful Gateway Park Walk along the Murray River with spectacular sculptures depicting dreaming stories! A great activity to share with family. I went to Wodonga to see the Army Museum at Bandiana which was excellent! Well organised, plenty of interesting exhibits, and very helpful staff. We spent 2+hours there. Had some extra time, so visted Lake Hume and the weir, which were very impressive. Then called in at Bonagilla Migrant Museum, on a whim, and surprisingly found it absolutely fascinating. Plus there were hundreds of kangaroos on the grounds. We came away from Bonagilla with a new appreciation of Australia's post war migrants. A moving experience for us.V

From the welcome slice of cake on arrival, to the extra amenities such as wine glasses, an electric blanket, and a super clean bathroom with oodles of hot water, my stay was made very comfortable. Another bonus was undercover parking right outside the door, and a heap of power points. I would certainly book this motel again.
