The apartment is situated within the main house's backyard, making it very private and quiet. It is very well furnished, we stayed for almost a month, and it had everything we needed. We enjoyed having dinner on the terrace, chilling watching tv in the living room, preparing dinners and waking up to the green views of the surrounding trees. Pam always responded quickly when we needed something. Close by in the street we always found a place where to park the car at a short walk distance. Within a 20 minute walk you are in the city center and very close by Elisabeth street has many restaurant options. We would definetly repeat if we have the chance to return to Hobart.

I had two stays at this hotel, before and after a tour of the island. So, some of this is similar to my other review. Reservation and desk staff are helpful. The hotel location is good, "next door" to Woolworth's grocery and a short walk to the waterfront for restaurants.

Housed in a building built in 1846, the Customs House Hotel is located in front of the Derwent River and home to one of Hobart's oldest pubs.

All of our stay. Room, staff, restaurant, breakfast all very good. We did get a parking ticket and believe the Hotel paid such fine. Thank you.
