The building was a period building with a number of modern features (for example the bathrooms in the rooms were very modern). The rooms were spacious, well heated and had good quality amenities (such as ample plugs, a kettle and fridge in the wardrobe). The included breakfast was more than sufficient with hot and cold options, and the staff were nice enough to reserve a table for our group of nine without us having to request it.
This historic boutique hotel, in the heart of Katoomba-Blue Mountains, features 2 separate guest lounge areas, and a sauna. Complimentary WiFi is provided in all communal lounge areas.

Receptionist was very helpful. Drew up a list of possible wet weather activities as the weather forecast was poor during our stay. Really appreciated her initiative. Thank you.

Required an extra blanket. The lady was helpful re heating, but none worked. Electric blankets and extra blanket helped a lot

In the heart of the Blue Mountains with lots of eating options. Lots of great walks nearby. The 3 sisters are within walking distance so you can avoid the parking charges recently implemented in the area.

Katoomba main street is still struggling after covid with quite a few empty shop fronts however mother nature and her spectacular views make up for this. Scenic World as the main draw is always worth the trip and Nocturnal event is a new way to experience the Valley. Of course Echo Point and 3 sisters are a must as is Govetts Leap lookout. So many pretty towns around like Leura and if you have time take a little side teip to Lithgow. Highly recommend this trip. Parking is an issue around the town centre and usual tourist attractions but worth dealing with anyway.

Direct train from Sydney.
Direct train from Sydney. Very quaint traditional old mining town, old fashioned 'high street' with plenty of places to stay and eat. We stayed in the grand Carrington Hotel which has a lot of history as part of the evolution of the town. Our main reason for visiting was to easily access the Katoomba based hop-on/off bus to visit The Blue Mountains. This worked perfectly and as well as seeing Katoomba and the blue Mountains, we also got to visit the pretty neighbouring village of Leura which is included in the route. We felt we made a very good choice.

Katoomba has everything you will need or find in a regional town. The large supermarkets are available and open for longer hours for groceries (Aldi, Coles, Woolworths). The shops and restaurants close early, so check times and organise around that. There are limited number of restaurants and eateries in town. We ate at Rustico - this place is almost always full (even on weekdays) - best book ahead. We had one sunny day out of 3 days. Luckily that was enough to visit Scenic World, do the rides and walk around. We recommend taking the Blue Mountains Explorer Bus (hop-on hop-off) to minimise driving. There are many easy to medium walks along the clifftops.

The new Cliff Top walk to Wentworth Falls was excellent.
The new Cliff Top walk to Wentworth Falls was excellent. Just right level for me. It would be good if the shuttle buses went to Gordon Falls and Leura as I had to walk back along the roads a lot. Also access to the walk at Scenic World was closed, which was annoying as the walk is advertised to start there. It was Easter Sunday and very busy but this should have been made clear perhaps with signs at Katoomba Falls where the walk actually started from. I ate at 8 Things, great value and the RSL which was not so great. The Pool of Siloam is one of the best things in the mountains I discovered this weekend.

The town is lovely, great places to eat and drink, lots of attractions and view points, short drives to many other places. I really enjoyed it. One thing i would mention, as we were caught out with this, the whole town stops serving food at 8pm, so you do have to choose between watching the sunset and eating.
Beds were comfortable. Aldi Coles and Woolworths across the road. Easy access to major attractions. Staff were friendly . We did not expect to have 5 star hotel accommodation for that price, as long as the place is clean and the beds comfortable and the price is right we are happy .This hotel ticked all the boxes. and the staff were helpful and friendly . I recommend the breakfast its worth it. Thank you for making our stay memorable as we were stuck in NSW from Perth and decided to take a trip to the Blue mountains
Everything! Ross was so helpful - pointing out good
trails, giving local tips, and even taking some of us to see the sunset. Not to mention all the cool ppl at this hostel and the nice campfire socials! We ended up going on a hike together as well. My favorite hostel experience in AU. I was debating this and YHA for the Blue mountains - I would definitely return to this place. Stayed for a few nights (I think 4?) and regretted not staying longer. The hostel is close to the Katoomba train station and grocery marts.
We love our stay in this old world guest house. As we use public transport, it's so close to the Katoomba Rail Station. Perfect. Also close to other wonderful attractions.
We were so lucky to snag the unusual Snow Fall..spectacular.
The hotel follows Covid-19 safety standards to the letter.
We included the full breakfast, we'll worth it.
We'll be back for sure.
The staff were beautiful, very friendly and helpful. There was a light breakfast of cereal, apples and toast. Though the room was old, it was clean and comfortable. The hotel was only a short 1.4km walk to Scenic World and 800m from Katoomba RSL for dinner. There is free onsite parking and a small pool table for guests to use.
Fantastic old style hotel on main street (katoomba st). A bit walk from station specially because there's a hill, but I did it easy because I am used to walk.
Near Bus to take to three sisters. And scenic world. About 30 min walk...
The staff is super kind. Top!
Great parking for those who bring car
Wonderful ambient historic hotel. Friendly, helpful and polite staff; clean and comfortable room and free continental breakfast. Dinner nearby at the Katoomba RSL (right across the road and a de ent selection of vegan/vegetarian options) and a pleasant 2km amble to Leura shops.
Hotel staff are nothing short of amazing. Friendly, helpfull, respectful, and they treat their guests like family, and they do it naturly not because they are following a protocol. I loved the hotel because of the people running it.
Room was lovely and clean, towels, sheets, beds all beautifully attired. Bathroom fresh and clean - fully stocked tea/coffee facilities. 5 stars for cleanliness. Motel in great location close to walks and cliff top vistas...
Was a basic clean room. Bed and pillows were decent and the staff were excellent. The location is great, only a short distance from central Katoomba, hotel has plenty of parking, and the pool is clean and well maintained.
Everything. The staff were great, the rooms better than in several 5 star hotels I've stayed in. If you're going to Katoomba, stay here - as I will again in a few months time when the weather is better.
The room was very clean and comfortable for a budget hotel and it felt very safe. The staff are very friendly and nothing I asked was an issue. Also the BP station across the road does good coffee.
The location is close to Katoomba Train Station only 5 min walk, many restaurants nearby and Coles. The room is clean, the bed is comfortable. The staffs are nice and helpful.
Lovely 1900s style hotel with exceptional views of the valley beyond. Friendly, helpful staff. Central location to both Katoomba and Leura. Great breakfast!
You can't beat the location as it was a 3 min drive to the centre of Katoomba. The room was very quiet and the shower was hot with great water pressure.
