Part of an older caravan park located not far from the Ferry Terminal. We loved the balcony and had several meals out there overlooking the ocean. Adequate for our needs, basic kitchen with everything you need. Nice hot shower.
Just 5 minutes’ drive from Coles Beach, Barclay Motor Inn offers a tennis court, an indoor pool and free on-site parking.

Everything about this place was super super SUPER clean and very neat (down to the toilet paper being folded and coffee sachets all in line next to each other.)
We were only here for 1 night but was able to check out the pool there which was a lot of fun too.

The apartment was the best one we stayed in on our two week trip to Tasmania. The beds were very comfortable with well appointed kitchen, dining and living area. The bathrooms were large with good showers. The location was very nice.

The nicest part of Devonport was along the river and to the beach. The headland walk from the Surf Club and to the lighthouse was beautiful. The cafe at the Devonport Surf Club was really nice, the staff were very friendly and the coffee was excellent - 10/10.

We liked everything about Devonport.
We liked everything about Devonport. We had an evening meal at the Argosy and lunch at Banjos in the mall. Finding places around Devonport was easy and parking was very good. Lovely views of the Mersey River and beaches from lots of areas. The Antique Emporium and garden centres were excellent.

We love visiting Devonport.
We love visiting Devonport. It is a clean, tidy town and has all the facilities we need. It is also a great point to go out to places from, for example Tasmazia, Chudleigh, towns and beaches along the northern coast of Tasmania just to name a few.

We based ourselves in Devonport as we were visiting the coast area there We did travel south to do a bit of site seeing about Hobart etc. We travelled over and back on the Ferry which was a short 5 minute drive.
You can see most of the coast attractions an easy 45 minute drive from Devonport. Tasmania has excellent playgrounds for kids
The breakfast provided was fantastic from fresh local eggs Bacon beautiful freshly baked bread Selection of Muesli and Juice was the perfect way to start the day of Adventure. The location was just far enough away from the main town to enjoy peace and quiet but close enough to walk if you so desired and the History of the building added that extra charm.
Its the details that Yvonne and Glen have provided that make this stay exceptional thank you!
Great location close to where the Spirit of Tasmania docks. Fantastic communication from hotel staff who contacted us when our ferry was very late arriving to give us a code for the key lock box. Beautifully renovated large room in a contemporary style. Luxurious large bathroom with a huge walk in shower. Lovely big windows with a view of the river. On site laundry with coin operated washing machines and dryers was very handy.
Food in the restaurant downstairs was amazing. If you stay in the hotel they make sure you get a table. You can see the Spirit of Tasmania from the hotel, but have to use highway to get across the river. The bedrooms all appear to be on the floor above the restaurant. Room is older style but very comfortable.
This is usually my go-to hotel when travelling to Burnie, the staff have always been so pleasant and this time they were able to resolve an issue of a double-booking that I had cancelled (and had the confirmation it was cancelled) but was still showing on their system. The location is great. I will be back.
John was the best host ever! His home is well located, a 10 minute walk to the lighthouse and beaches. Easy, flat walk into Devonport CBD. We felt very welcomed, enjoyed the outside area, comfortable bed, fluffy white towels and nice hot shower.
I was very happy with space was amazing he had a great facilities it was really peaceful with far was extremely relaxing I would recommend this place to anyone
Convenient check-in and guaranteed parking in front of the room! I was able to make a booking for dinner at the same time as checking in which was fantastic.
