Very happy with almost everything about our stay.. but spoiled by communication with Werner.. who demanded I ordered something from the menu in German .. say it! Say it! Even though I am a non German speaking New Zealander. Spoiled an otherwise lovely stay. The younger members of staff and woman were all very helpful and pleasant. Werner did try to make amends later with Schnapps shots but damage was done.

Very large and comfortable apartment in the centre of Ybbs at few meters from the Donau river. Very quiet. The host is friendly and polite, unfortunately she speaks only German.

Beautiful location ; my 6 years old and both I and my husband had a great time staying in this lovely farm with rabbits and babies , pony, goat and babies , cats and many kittens , cows, Guinea pigs, donkeys, chicken , goats , turkeys, dog the owner provided the pick up and drop off to and from the train station ; lovely owner’s family made us feel very homely and comfortable ; delicious home made dinner, breakfast and lunch; we would love to come back again for more days . This is the first property we encounter from our bike ride- so we happily booked it. But The property is located on the main road and extremely busy even at 4 AM. No AC and I have to close the window to muffle the sound. The owner asked my husband to check out at ( Am-which is extremely early and the website states check out is 11:00 AM. The website states possible breakfast in the restaurant - but it is actually only operating in the afternoon and evening.

We were able to stay a second night therefore grateful; awesome bakery below; secure place to store bikes; unsecured wifi. A walk out onto the weir to watch cruise boats use the lock was fastenating. Comfortable, approx 2 kms from town.
