Everything was clean! Anssi the host of the Log Cabin is very nice and friendly person: get us all around the place , and fixed everything we were asking for. It is a quiet place deep in the woods. The huge Inari lake is in the walking distance. We visited the place in the days of deep snow and deep polar night,- but get nearly three hours of good daylight: me and a family enjoyed skiing to the Great Inari Lake through the woods (You could find good roads for it on the google maps). The Lord Sormuset house has everything to live in . It is clean house. And the most important - it is saami house. If You are here in Finland , and traveled through museum or two - and have seen the saami life on the pictures . If You want to expiriense it for real with Your body and senses - it is right place to fo so! The house is not big. It has freezer and huge stove. My daughter very enjoyed the second floor for sleep over the stove. Half of the building is a small sauna. But it more then enough, when You light it with the woods for enough time - it gets so hot! We very enjoyed to run our hot bodies out of the sauna, and get snow all over us! I really couldn't imaging me to do so in any other place (and we get around the Finland for month right now , and get to all kind of places). The water is not the must thing in the saami house - and You should get it in the buckets from the water pump, that is near the house. That is the real expirience - to get water to the house by walking through the snow in the polar night! My daughter really enjoyed it! The same is with the toilet room - You have it , eco one, near the house. The house was clean, we have clean linens and towels supplied by housekeeper Anssi. The kitchen has everything to cook on and to eat from. The small space if the house, that get all our family closer - was very nice expirience.

Great accommodation in all respects! An incredible quiet and beautiful natural place is located in a secluded corner in the forest on the shore of a swampy lake. Blueberries, mushrooms and a lot of pine trees grow everywhere. I'm thirsty for the local air. Everything in the house is thought out to the smallest detail and everything is very conveniently located. There is a pleasant aroma in the house. I was especially pleased with good wi-fi, a cozy wood-burning stove and a sauna. Also, the owners provide an excellent filter coffee maker and freshly ground aromatic coffee in a brimming jar. All day long, especially in the morning, squirrels and different types of birds came to us, for which there was a treat here. One day a handsome deer came to the house. Hiking trails lead directly from the house to the forest, along which we enjoyed walking for many hours. If you go from the house directly bypassing the swamp, you can climb the hill. Be sure to visit the swamp on foot, it's just a matter of jumping from hummock to hummock, but you need to wear all-terrain shoes. A distance of about two kilometers on the shore of another very large and beautiful lake (but not Lake Inari), the owners have their own rowing boat, which they provide to guests for free, and we took advantage of these with pleasure and devoted one of the evenings to fishing. To get to it, you need to walk through the picturesque forest for about 30 minutes or drive by car in five minutes. The owners take care of the surrounding nature and make separate garbage cans. At first we stayed here for two nights on the way from Norway, but we liked it so much that we extended our stay for another extra day. We really hope to return here one day, for example, in winter. Super cute cabin with integrated private sauna and an inside fire stove with additional fire tipi outside. Directly looking at a lake and the forest in the middle of nowhere with amazing stars and some northern lights. The owners are super friendly and the huskies are adorable, we could also feed them with them. They had 6 weeks old puppies which were super cute!

Good communication with hosts, they even let us know the aurora was out. The house is very clean and comfortable. Good location just outside of town.

Het grootste pluspunt voor ons was dat het huis vrij afgelegen is maar toch heel goed bereikbaar. De bust uit Rovaniemi stopt net voor de deur. De locatie van het huis betekent pure stilte en natuur. Je bent aan het meer dat in de winter compleet bevroren is. Het uitzicht daarvan is prachtig. Je zit niet in een massatoerisme setting waar je met tientallen andere bungalows te maken hebt. Het is juist heel huiselijk, voelt alsof je je eigen huis binnenstapt. Het huis heeft ook alles wat je nodig zou hebben variërend van spelletjes tot een gitaar, een sauna, complete keuken en twee slaapkamers. De wasmachine en de droger zijn een pluspunt. Als je de noorderlichten hebt, heb je weinig last van lichtvervuiling. Wij hebben ze dit keer niet gezien maar dat was ook niet erg. Genoeg andere dingen te beleven. In de omgeving heb je hele leuke wandelroutes en activiteiten. De eigenaar Jef hebben we niet ontmoet maar hij was wel via WhatsApp beschikbaar.

The location on the island surrounded by the frozen lake is superb. We loved the cottage with all its amenities (hot shower, sauna, very well equipped kitchen, comfortable couch, fire place) and the lovely veranda where we had our morning coffee watching the sun rise. The remoteness, silence and beautiful light make it a magical place, it was breathtaking. In addition, Jonas and Matt are great hosts, reliable and friendly. We did a snowshoe hike with Jonas and he is a great guide as well, knowledgeable, helpful and funny. We are looking very much forward to stay there again!

The view from the lake is great. The bathroom is good. It is clean. They open the roads for car and walk. The breakfast in the main hotel is good and also the dinner. The staff in the main hotel’s restaurant was kind and helpful.
