Set just 3.8 km from Gregory Lake, Ruchi House provides accommodation in Nuwara Eliya with access to barbecue facilities, a shared lounge, as well as a 24-hour front desk. As a solo female traveler, staying here I felt so safe and at home. The owner and his wife are so utterly sweet and hardworking. The owner has a TukTuk and for a very fair price, he picked me up/dropped me off at the train station. On top of this, he offered different excursion options on his TukTuk for tea plantations, hikes, waterfalls, etc. The owner honestly went above and beyond, not only was he a wonderful host, but also a great driver and tour guide. What really touched my heart was when he took me to the Horton Plains National Park and ended up doing the WHOLE hike with me because he did not want me to do it alone and wanted to make sure I was safe. Their home is a very cute 100+-year-old house, with two rooms. The room was spotlessly clean and had comfy beds with warm blankets for the chilly nights. The price includes breakfast and if you have an early excursion/train time they pack you a full breakfast as well! They also offer lunch and dinner, which the wife cooks. It was honestly the best food I had on my trip to Sri Lanka especially the chicken curry and dhal curry.

Situated in Nanu Oya and only 7.8 km from Gregory Lake, Ansi Villa features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Friendly Host Volunteered to free pick up and drop to Nanu Oya station. Greeted with Cake and lovely Tea. Decent hot water shower. Late check in at 11.45pm and early checkout at 5.45am was handled with a smile 😊. Greatly appreciate it.

Medalin Lake Gregory is a guest house situated in the Lake Gregory district of Nuwara Eliya. La stanza era enorme e includeva anche un salotto. La vista sul lago era piacevole e i gestori della struttura sono persone deliziose.

Ottima posizione, tranquilla e raggiungibile a piedi dal centro in dieci minuti. Staff gentilissimo e accogliente, pronto a darti consigli sulla zona e ad aiutarti con i trasporti. Camera pulita e ben attrezzata. Spazi comuni perfetti, dove è possibile servirsi di thè e caffè offerti!

Comfortable room with great bed, with wet room bathroom. Rajith is very helpful and an amazing musician! Rajith’s sister is an amazing cook - highly recommend the dinner cooked by her. The property has a lovely garden, if you have green fingers! Slightly out of town, but really nice walk back along the lake (I think 20 mins walk from centre?).

Situato a Nuwara Eliya, a 5 km dal Lago Gregory, il Loversleap bungalow offre un salone in comune, un parcheggio privato gratuito e un giardino. Exceptionally kind, friendly and helpful hosts. They went above and beyond to help me when my scooter broke down 25 mins drive away, coming to pick me up with a truck for the scooter and were hugely helpful with local arrangements, suggestions and with making sure I could do my online meeting. Delicious breakfast and sweet staff. Highly recommended!
