Satoshi and Elizabeth are so kind and helped us out hugely during our stay. Satoshi is an AMAZING cook. The food was incredible, so I definitely recommend having dinner at the inn! The room was super comfortable, it was great to have our own little kotatsu and the baths at the inn (both inside and the outside one with the forest view) were divine. If we are ever back in Nikko/Japan we will definitely stay again!

Near to bus station (3 mins walk) and Chuzenji Lake Bus Terminal (10 min walk, more bus back to Nikko station). There's also a small local supermarket near the hostel, offering cheap bentos and food ingredients. Owner is a guide, so you can learn more about the environment of Nikko.

Located in Nikko, 2.1 km from Nikko Toshogu Shrine, Sanga Nikko provides rooms with free WiFi access. The property is set 10 km from Kegon Falls and 22 km from Nikkō-kokuritsu-kōen. This was a really wonderful place to stay in for our visit to Nikko. Thr host Yoshi was very kind and really helped us plan our trip so we could use our time well. The hotel itself is beautiful, comfortable and extremely clean. Will definitely return to this place when visiting Nikko!

Featuring a garden, Midorian is located within Nikko National Park. The property is around 1.5 km from Nikko Toshogu Shrine, 8 km from Kegon Falls and a 16-minute walk from Futarasan Shrine. We had so much fun at the Midorian! It was a great location, since it was near all the sites we wanted to visit. We really enjoyed the property with the large garden area and the river behind it. But the best part was the amazing host, Arai san! Our daughters (ages 4 and 8) would have been happy to stay at the house the entire trip, since Arai san made it so much fun. At their invitation, he accompanied us to the river several times and even brought a net to help them look for creatures in the water. He also taught them how to catch dragonflies, a skill they have now mastered. :) The girls loved the bunk beds, and I loved the bath, which was always prepared in advance with the perfect temperature of water.

The place is nice and cozy. The hosts were very helpful and shared a lot of tips how we can make the most our trip. Since we're leaving very early to go back to Tokyo, they even drove us to the train station - really appreciate that since there's no taxi available and quite cold outside.

The staff was very friendly and the lodge was amazing. The rooms were nice and offered enough space together with the living room that could be used at any time. Free tea and fresh water available at any time. The private onsen was great, especially after coming back after a cold day sight seeing. The free bread breakfast was delicious. The stay was the highlight of our trip!
