The owners of this Inn are exceptionally welcoming. We stayed for two nights in a tatami room which was very comfortable. The Inn is sorrounded by forest which makes it absolutely peaceful at night. The room was spacious and comfortable. We would absolutely recommend having dinner and breakfast at the Inn, as the owner is a perfect chef. We never before ate such a delicious chicken. The owners are also very caring and trying to accomodate every wish of the guests. Lastly, the onsen was also very nice with an option to either take the bath indoors or outdoors with view on the forest! All in all, an amazing experience and we would come again!

This was my favourite place to stay in Japan. Izumi is an exceptional host, epitomising omotenashi - he made us feel completely at home in his lovely B&B. His place is so peaceful... looking out into nature with the sound of the stream running past outside; the rooms are beautiful and thoughtfully designed. Izumi was very helpful, picking us up from the train station, dropping us off in town for dinner, and recommending places to go and things to do... and the breakfast he cooked was delicious. I do hope we can visit again some day!

Our stay at Sanga Nikko could not have been better! Yoshi is incredibly kind and helpful in every possible way. From the fresh fruits and bikes, to his advise for trains and the Nikko area, our stay was wonderful. He also offers free portrait photos of his guests, as he was a photographer in his previous job! The accommodation is very clean, 3min from train station and main road, and perfectly prepared with everything you possibly need, nothing could be improved. The Japanese room has futons which are very comfy and softer than expected, and very warm comfy blankets were provided during winter. Very clean bathroom and kitchen as well, with lots of included amenities (toothbrush, coffee, hairdryer, razor, laundry machines, etc) We will definitely stay again here when we visit Nikko! Since we're leaving very early to go back to Tokyo, they even drove us to the train station - really appreciate that since there's no taxi available and quite cold outside.

Set in Nikko, the recently renovated COZY Inn Free Shuttle service offers accommodation 12 km from Tobu Nikko Station and 14 km from Nikko Toshogu Shrine. The host was amazing! He had great food recommendations and was very nice. The onsen was very relaxing, too.
