My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Plawsworth Hall Serviced Cottages and Apartments, and I was absolutely blown away by the experience. The property is located in the idyllic village of Plawsworth, just a short drive from Durham City. The setting is absolutely stunning, with rolling hills and lush green countryside all around. The cottages and apartments themselves are beautifully appointed and spacious. Our two-bedroom apartment had everything we could possibly need, including a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living room, and two bedrooms. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we slept like babies. The owner of the property, was incredibly friendly and helpful. He was on site to greet us on arrival and gave us a tour of the property. He also made sure that we had everything we needed during our stay. We spent our days exploring the beautiful countryside around Plawsworth. We visited Durham Cathedral, Hadrian's Wall, and the Beamish Museum. We also enjoyed some great food at the local restaurants. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. Here are some additional details about our stay: The rooms were very clean and well-maintained. Super directions to the quaint 3 story house with the red door. Quiet and peaceful location, yet within 12 minutes walking distance to the centre of town, partly along the beautiful river. We especially liked the kitchen/dining area. This was after the 3rd flight of stairs and was an incredible surprise as we opened the door to a huge, inviting space. We spent most of our time in the dining area, when not out walking in Durham, drinking coffee or wine as we watched the clouds pass overhead through the skylight windows. The bathrooms were excellent. Everything was better than I had experienced in the Radisson and the Marriott. Having your own kitchen/dining room and 2 pristine bathrooms made this place very special. The owner was very responsive to our email.
