Really great place to stay in San Jose. The unit is very modern and spotless clean! The view is second to none! Car elevator is cool. Receptionist was very helpful. They kindly let us stay on the rooftop to accept some business calls after the check-out. I also loved the gym and jacuzzi with a view. The check-in did not require a key and was contactless. This is a jewel of a stay!

The friendliness of the lady in the reception and her trust in us! In addition we got a bigger apartment which was not so warm. It is within a very safe place and with a code for the door, which makes it very easy.

Det nyrenoverede 935 Lodge San José ligger i San José, 50 km fra Poas Nationalpark og 4 km fra La Sabana Metropolitan Park. Lovely place!! We booked the 101 Apartment for 1 night and everything was great. The building is very well maintained and beautiful, check-in instructions clear (self-check-in) and we also met the host for payment who was super nice. The location is near a bigger street with lots of kiosks and restaurants. Bed is very comfortable and the hot water shower was functioning well. The 101 apartment has a small kitchen corner with a sink, wine glasses etc but no cooking area so be aware of that (other apartments might have it though). I would definitely stay here again as it was a place we felt very comfortable in in San Jose.

We stayed only for one night, because we had planned ahead, otherwise I definitely would have liked to stay longer!

Hospedaje Casa Monge har have og ligger i San Gerardo de Dota, under 17 km fra Cerro de la Muerte. Der er gratis wi-fi og gratis parkering på stedet. This was a beautiful magical place. The best place to see Quetzal is near an avacado tree right on this property. The cabin is right on the river, walking distance to two restaurants with beautiful patios. The drive from Quetzales national park entrance is lots of switchbacks and you must be very careful. Look for the “unicorn lodge” sign on your left coming down the mountain in San Gerardo. “Casa monge” itself isn’t well signed from the main road. I would recommend this place to anyone, it was fantastic! Dirche, the owner, was absolutely lovey and took us out at 5:30 to see the quetzals. I would also recommend the waterfall hike about 2kms down the hill from Casa Monge- a bit treacherous at times but well worth it, 2-3 hrs total!
