Jomon no Yado Manten ligger bara 200 meter från Yakushimas flygplats och 45 minuters bilresa från Shiratani Unsuikyo Ravine. Här erbjuds 5 olika japanska bad, traditionell mat och 2 bastur. The location couldn't be better, it is literally across the street from the airport. Bus stops are very plentiful nearby and the hotel staff is very well versed in showing you exactly which buses you need to get to your destination on the island. They are able to call taxis for you if necessary as well. All around wonderful location and very helpful staff!

The cosy, family feel of the place made my stay in Yakushima. The lady running the place was so nice and she prepared Onigiri for guests who had planned hikes on the island, which was really convenient. She also plans your sightseeing with you if you want, as she knows the bus schedules and the different things to see quite well. Met some really nice people at the guest house and shared an amazing hot pot on the last night. Tomarigi made my stay in Yakushima. Also, theres a supermarket about 5 minutes away by foot, which was really convenient.

Yakushima Pension Ichigoichie ligger i Yakushima, 20 km från Shiratani Unsuikyo, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering och en terrass. The little pension is run by a lovely grandma and grandpa. Very welcoming, even though there was a language barrier, as they do not speak English, we managed to get the point across via translation apps. They offer yummy breakfast and can prepare nice bento for you if you ask for it for lunch. The location is great, near the airport, however car is optimal for the best experience. The location of the pension is close to all of the main routes and key activities. We were staying in the private bathroom room and were happy with the facilities.

Cottage Orange House Yakushima ligger i Yakushima, 20 km från Shiratani Unsuikyo och 25 km från Yakusugi Land, och erbjuder boende med gratis WiFi, en trädgård och luftkonditionering. The host was very kind, spoke perfect English and went out of his way to help us — making several calls for us. The cottage is extremely spacious and has a full kitchen. We loved our stay here and wish we could have stayed longer!

The owner of the hotel was very hospitable. Ecquiped with Google translator and brought me late at night to grocery shop! Such a lovely plave in the nature. Recommended!!

At Cottage Morinokokage, guests can rent out a cottage with a hammock. Free WiFi is available in the guest rooms. Mr.Nakashima is a high level excellent host. He is helpful, generous and supportive. The rooms are comfortable in any details and the place is very well organized to make guests feel very welcomed and cosy :)

The whole crew of Suginoko is awesome! They try to help you with everything and make the best out of your stay. Even if the communication always takes a while by using the translator they never get tired answering your question or giving recommendations.
