Our room was comfortable and offered a fantastic view of the choppy Gulf of Tonkin. Breakfast was filling. There was plenty to eat including fresh fruit, noodles, pastries, and typical Chinese breakfast items. Some guests might be disappointed that Western options are scarce. Seating was also especially scarce during our time there. Other plusses include Shangri-La's location along the water. It is an easy walk to the old town port streets and the more modern beach areas.
