Cozy, artistic cottage in a garden setting close to the beach and hiking trails. Is set in Powell River. This property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi. Very quiet and restful. We had the little cottage to ourselves, surrounded by natural wild gardens. Chickens, geese and rabbits on the property (no roosters). The hostess are very nice. The wife is a painter and the husband is a glass artist. The walls of the cottage are decorated with their wonderful art. Away from the town of Powell River, but close enough for convenience.

StudioOne Pebble Beach offers accommodations in Powell River, just 2 km from Myrtle Point Golf Club. Free wifi is featured throughout the property and free parking for vehicles and small boats. Studio One, as many others have noted, is very well equipped. Lots of pots and pans in a full galley-type kitchen. There is a full stove, a microwave and a decent size fridge. Very comfortable bed and pillows. It’s spacious for a studio and cool, probably the most important asset. Again as other reviewers have mentioned the shower is fabulous. Great location, close to Pebble Beach, Saltery Bay Park and Powell River, with its fabulous Historic Townsite; it’s certainly a beautiful area. Oh and the wifi was excellent. That’s important, as you can’t get service in some spots. Finally the hosts were very kind.

Lots of options for dining. We explored the area by jeep, looking for rec sites to camp at in the fall. Found lots of places. Inland Lake has a 13km walking trail around the entire lake, going to do that for sure. Locals mentioned the fishing is amazing in all the lakes
Powell River is a beautiful, well-kept place to visit. We have enjoyed the Historical Tour a lot. Another highlight, while waiting for the ferry was a walk to Costa de Sol Latin Cuisine where we had a wonderful outdoor lunch. There are great ocean views from many many places! We especially enjoyed the ferry trip from Saltery Bay to Earl's Cove and back, though with it being a busy summer day, the wait was long and hot in the Bay waiting area. Powell River is a bit locked-in as there are ferries to take in both directions, but we kept busy exploring for our two days. Travel around and on to the rest of the Sunshine Coast is a bit easier/quicker in the off-season, but we still enjoyed P River A LOT!!
Inland Lake was awesome. You need about 6 km drive off road, bou you will not regret the drive. Walking around the lake is not something to be missed. Take food with you and enjoy a relaxed meal after a good swim in the lake!
Powell River is great if you like to get away from the fast pace city life. There is very little traffic! There are lots of different beaches to explore. There are also hiking trails in the woods. On our drive to Lund we saw 2 different bears by the side of the road. Then when we went to Gibsons Beach on another day we saw 2 bears again. We also saw soaring bald eagles. There are nice restaurants in town. But we preferred to cook our own food. Willingdon Beach has a great playground for kids.
Powell River is an amazing place if you are a lover of the outdoors. While the town itself has all the amenities you want from garages to large grocery stores, a few restaurants and some beaches, the best of this part of BC's lower mainland only accessible by ferry or private plane is the scenic coastline, the shorefront, the parks, and the wildlife.
I love Powell River! Am fortunate to have a friend living there who showed us things I wouldn't have found on my own. I'm interested in the arts so we visited several art galleries. Very inspiring! We started in Lund ( great bakery!) and worked out way south.
