Breakfast was spot on. Location was pretty decent. A little far removed from restaurants/shopping and such, but that is kinda what I wanted so was very good for my needs. I answered no regarding the question above "Did the price I paid match the expectations I had when I booked". I answered no because the facility far exceeded my expectation. I felt it was a very good value.

Charming is an apt name for this beautiful hidden away gem. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, really working hard to ensure our stay was a dream romantic romp. They even prepared a tailored vegan alternative menu that was an unexpected touch of care. We're truly grateful to Silvia and her team.

Interesting town, much to see, like the TAAF Snake Farm, where I was for a course, the Gede ruins and much more. Good infrastructure, which is not in all coastal towns in Kenya the case. The beach in front of Papa Remo is alone worth going there!

Watamu is beautiful , but unfortunately too touristical for me. Heavily overpriced for Kenya. People who like bust tourist spots will like it though... traditionally many Italians, if you want to avoid those, Watamu is also not your choice

Watamu has lovely people, tourists are so safe its unreal.
Watamu has lovely people, tourists are so safe its unreal. Large Italian population and visitors, so most hotels and resteuraunts are italian owned. Best place to eat and the most jawdropping view is from Ocean Sports.

Watamu as such is lovely with a few good public beaches.
Watamu as such is lovely with a few good public beaches. Restaurants are galore and most really good, although mostly expensive. Among the coastal towns I visited in Kenya and Tanzania, I have come back to Watamu most often. The water is crystal clear, the beach white and not overrun, and the area offers enough activities to not get boring.

Local administration and hoteliers should strive to attract...
Local administration and hoteliers should strive to attract more local tourists. Overdependence on foreigners leads to exaggerated prices in addition to leaving Watamu as a ghost town especially in low season.
I love the location - perfect spot for beach holiday and not too fair-away from Watamu - yes the road is not perfect but for me it was part of my Kenya experience :-)
They are a few very good restaurant on the beach and Safari was always very helpful , he even took as to a local church which was amazing experience !
I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to relax and learn a bit about the locals , the location is very safe .

I liked the fact that we met good people who made our stay easier. Safari Masha who was our chef. I highly recommend him. He is very humble and professional. He went ab extra mike just to see us comfortable always. He was my star.
Piedi(Juma) whom we met at the beach, he offered to take us round watamu and it was a good experience.
Then to our girl Harriet for her cleaning services.
We were given a wonderful room with an amazing view. The location was perfect, isolated enough to get to not feel the crowd of Watamu and close enough to the city by boat. We also appreciate the fact that local communities are benefiting from the place thanks to a smart ecosystem built around the hotel. Cocktails aren't all great but some are. Staff was very nice and welcoming.
Everything- stunning, staff is friendly and attentive and it is never loud. This place is exactly what I needed and it is owned by a local family (this should be commonplace but coastal Kenya is very much neocolonized). They pay attention to details. It’s impossible to be here and not feel like you’re at the best joint in town.
This is a fabulous hotel with its own private beach and the wind based water sports are complimentary which is a nice touch. The suite was large, the bed super comfortable and the breakfast all one might expect. The croissant could have been made in France! Pools are warm and a good mix of shade and sunny spots.
Amazing place, the best we have stayed at in Africa. Felt like we were in a 5* hotel..spotless, comfortable, quiet. We extended our stay by an extra night we liked it so much..Maggie looked after us impeccably, warm and a perfect host, ready to help whenever we needed her. Highly recommended recommended.
location is just great, and its a cheap super big apartment. was buying lobsters daily at fish shop next to the hotel and preparing them in the apartments kitchen. sit on a terrace with sea view in the evening. taking a boda to beach - drivers waiting in front of the hotel. was heavenly life for me.
The beach is great, the ocean was clean. The hotel allows you privacy and has an amazing calm atmosphere considering that its big. There are places around that you can explore/walk in to such as bars, restaurants or walk at the beach. The pool is great, as well as drinks.
The pool area and the Lichthaus bar were quite nice great places to hang out and enjoy a meal.
The beds were also comfortable with a nice view of the garden/sea.
Beautiful sea/ beach area quite scenic great for morning or evening walks.
The beach was very nice and sandy, very close to the home. There were a couple of small beach bars serving good food and drinks.
Does not take long to get to the town with taxi, however it is not a cheap ride.
☆☆☆☆☆It has evertything you need for a perfect holiday - pure white sand beach in front and clear blue waters - we had a beautiful time here for our beach vacation!
I'm giving this hotel my best recommendation!
Everything about the place was amazing, from the host, the location, the facilities, everything. Strategic location allowing access to every beatiful scene Watamu offers.
An amazing place for a getaway stay.
The breakfast was eccellenti and plentiful and well served. The location of the Villa is excellent , 100 meters away , from one of the most exclusive beaches in Watamu
