We chose this hotel because it’s near the Aomori station and a car rental company. Staff were nice. Breakfast was great. Room was small but manageable for 2 nights stay. Lobby was cozy offering European decoration and classical music playing in background - a contrasting theme to the small, slow-life Japanese town downstair.

Hotel was about a 15-min walk from Aomori Station, located in a slightly quieter part of town but easy to locate. Our room was clean and spacious enough for a family of 3. Breakfast selection was very good, with a wide variety of food and beverage options (loved the apple juice!)

The person at the front desk was really nice when we checked in, which was a good start. We liked that they gave us free toiletries (face masks, moutwash etc.) and the room was impeccably clean. Also, we could pick our own pillows, which was cool. We were offered a free drink when we arrived, which was a nice surprise.

I came to Aomori for the Nebuta Festival.
I came to Aomori for the Nebuta Festival.
It is a great, spectacular event. Perfect for families.
The Nebuta Museum has some great exhibits that gives a flavour of what the festival is like - but without the drums, fireworks and atmosphere.
Unfortunately I booked too late, and only could get a room for one night.
If you want to see this, make sure you book early - as the accommodation sells out quick during the festival.

If you staying in the city and planning to visit nearby...
If you staying in the city and planning to visit nearby hirosaki city
you probably need no more than four days to do everything
first few important things to say
public transportation it's very different from Tokyo trains are not rapidly moving from one city to another
in transport in the city it's not very common it's bases but walking will be the better choice anyway because it's a small city
I will highly recommend the number one restaurant in aomori that have the nebuta show name : Takakyu Nebutanokuni - literally people coming from all over Japan
the staff will try their best to communicate with foreigners but remember at least the minimum required Japanese will help you there
(in general outside Tokyo and Kyoto English is not common at all)
important to say that aomori like sappro have the freshest seafood in all around JAPAN
and few of the main attractions in the city Aomori
( the famous build your own bowl market - A factory - nebuta museum and the Main St ) - two days
hirasaki main attractions - two days
( just google tripvisor hirosako XD)
visiting around winter ? I highly recommend renting a car and driving to the nearby ski resorts not only you'll be welcome bye unforgettable views of snow in the horizon but an amazing ski resorts that I will highly recommend
BTW I visited around mid Mars and skiing is still available around those times of year !
I took effort in writing this down and I wish I could get I review like that when i was planning to visit hope it will help you !
(I couldn't provide photos but I wish I could do beautiful city with beautiful scenes and things to do )

Took a 2-day trip to Aomori.
Took a 2-day trip to Aomori. On the first day, took the JR Gono line on the prefecture's west coast and enjoyed the beautiful rugged shores' landscape in winter. For the night, stayed at the unique Aomori city, which is famous for the snow-soaked streets. The next day, took a bullet train to Hachinohe, where I rented a car for the Towada lake via the Oirase gorge. The gorge is beautiful in winter, when you can see the frozen waterfalls. And the lake is especially a good place to visit in winter, due to the reduced number of tourists who venture to reach there.

I loved the Nebuta Museum Wa Rasse near the station!
I loved the Nebuta Museum Wa Rasse near the station! Spectacularly stunning with amazing hands on activities! I can't wait to come back in August to go to the festival and see the new floats. The people were also very friendly in Aomori (noticeably more friendly and helpful than in other areas of Japan). I also enjoyed the humble local onsen. When I come back I'm looking forward to going to the aquarium, the old ferry museum and the other museums. There were many interesting places to eat (plus my favourite comfort food places Yoshinoya and Ootoya near the station). Definitely returning to Aomori!
I can recommend this accommodation! The staff is very kind and friendly, though they don't speak English. I booked spontaneously the night before my arrival, it worked fine. They had an onsen I sadly couldn't use because of my schedule. I liked that they had many vending machines, you had to take off your shoes to go to breakfast, Japanese breakfast, really great!
Apart from the negative aspects I have mentioned, the room was fine and I would book it again.
The facility is clean, they provide indoor and outdoor Hot Spring and sauna. It is sufficient restrooms and spacious seating area outside the hot spring area. 3 nos. x massage chairs at the resting area on the hot spring floor. The hotel supply free ice-cream bars, apple juice, coffee and ramen within a specific period. The breakfast is buffet style with many options. Foods are delicious and well presented. The customer service is good. Internet is great.
Absolutely gorgeous. I love the garden, even in its winter state, and the outdoor bath and sauna was just amazing with the flurries of snow around. The staff were amazing, and the driver took us to the aquarium and back on our last morning before we took the train back to Aomori. The history is very special, and the food was also spectacular - it was so lovely to experience this Japanese cooking.
Looks older on the outside of the hotel but staff are both professional and warm, and eager to assist. Liked that they carefully prepared printed information in English. Location is great too for accessing the various tourist spots near Aomori station plus the tourist information center is just in front of the hotel.
Lobby was very spacious with art pieces aroynd. Staff was friendly and helpful. Even when car park was full they made extra reserved space for us. Very clean as per high Japanese standard. Location was a little away from central station which is 15 to 20 min walk away.
very traditional Japanese room, it was comfy. it is close to the station (and also de A-Factory and Neputa Museum). the owner was kind and helpful. she kept my luggage after checking out. a lot of space inside the room. they have yukata to sleep.
Superb little accommodation directly in front of the station (literally 1 minute). Very friendly host, great hospitality. Spacious room in Japanese style with comfortable futons, you even get free tea and chocolate. Definitely recommend it!
The mattress was a little worn and my husband kept rolling to the side. It could do with a replacement.
Love the location of this hotel. It's the 3rd time we have stayed there and will definitely stay next time we're in Aomori.
Practical to stay if you travel from Tokyo to Niseko and have to stop over because it's too late to take the next train to Sapporo. Staff was very nice and helpful. Good layover hotel and its walking distance to the Shinkansen.
This was my 3rd stay at this hotel. That goes without saying. This is my favorite stay in Aomori. Connivence stores are a short walk for international ATM and drinks/snacks. There is indoor parking.
Very convenient and excellent location, the hotel was gorgeous as usual, Daiwa Roynet hotels across Japan all provide the same standard and very likely to stay at their hotels again in the future
The breakfast n dinner - fantastic! Service by English speaking staff commendable although the Japanese staff spoke little English, they tried their best to help.
