The hotel had absolutely no human contact at all, no reception, no idea where the programmed room key number was. There was also a locked up lift, so we had to climb the stairs to the room...thankfully it was just one level...
When there were issues, there was noone to talk to until the next morning...

The city has a lot to see and is beautiful architecture and scenery. It is quite spread out so walking around can be difficult and I am not sure how robust the transit system is (I didn’t use it) but I did see many buses. Lots of walking trails and a castle ruins I would have liked to see but the weather did not cooperate. The cobblestone streets are beautiful to look at but have cost me many luggage wheels over the years and can be hard on the feet. Where good shoes! I was there near Christmas so the Christmas market is a must see.
Very nice hotel in a good location in Emmendingen. Big room, very clean, modern decoration, high quality everywhere. Staff very kind. Free minibar in the room and free coffee machine in the hallway with good coffee. Underground parking possible. Very good soundproofing.
Very highly decorated and preserved hotel, with big rooms, also we had balconies with nice view of the garden, dining hall is very decorated with very nice view to the garden, the crew was fantastic, helped with everything with a smile, rooms where very clean and comfy
The Hotel was at first impression beautiful, the entrance and the idea that you become ur key no matter when u come with the code. The Rooms are old but clean.
Almost heaven on earth, figuratively speaking. A beautiful environment, a wonderful family-run hotel, excellent breakfast and friendly English-speaking staff!
