I like Lakes Entrance and it is one of my favourite places...
I like Lakes Entrance and it is one of my favourite places for holiday so I have been to Lakes Entrance for every holiday about 20 times However this time was the worst experience staying at Esplanade Resort and Spa. The 2 staff Emma and Erin and the manager May were very racist and discrimination. Never want to stay at this resort again..

Had a lovely Chinese birthday dinner at RSL.
Had a lovely Chinese birthday dinner at RSL. Great variety and service.
Lunched at couple coffee shops,
Saw Woolies and Aldi, even though we did not need them.
Booked for luncheon cruise to Metung, but had to cancel - VERY sad about that. That is a MUST do while there. Easy walking around when weather is good.

Lakes Entrance is a lovely place to visit.
Lakes Entrance is a lovely place to visit. I prefer out of season myself as I am older and on my own and it is quieter at that time. Great eating at the Central Hotel and the nearby coffee shop. (Bloody Good Coffee). There are lovely beaches and plenty of things for families riding tracks and mini golf. I enjoyed the boat cruises with Peels Cruises. The 70k was wonderful and then the lunch at Metung never disappoints. I think they are good value too. A good supermarket and other small shops. There is also lots to visit around the area and not far from Bairnsdale.
Well worth a visit........ weather is also surprisingly good all year round.

We were using Lakes Entrance as a stopover on our way to Sydney.
Very pleased with the area.
It was easy to walk around and had a good array of eating establishments - we had Fish and Chips from one of the local shops. the flathead was fresh and well cooked and the owners were very polite.
This is the case with most places.
Kudos to the Visitor Information Centre and the lady who served us

Lakes Entrance is a lovely small beach town.
Lakes Entrance is a lovely small beach town. We were glad to see that it hasn’t become built up like other popular coastal areas. There are a few good options for food. The beach is beautiful and the coastline goes on for ages allowing you to have really lovely and Long Beach walks. There are heaps of opportunities for nature walks and a nice winery nearby. Highly recommend for a short trip!
The Cunningham Motel was such a welcome stop. Friendly service and a great location. We had some great advice to go for a walk just over the road to the Lakes entrance and it was a really beautiful time for our family. The room was very clean and had more than enough space for the 5 of us. The friendly owner even cleaned our very dirty windscreens from our road trip before we left in the morning.
The house position is superb with a wonderful view of the lake. The design of the house was also superb taking maximum advantage of the views, and the open plan living area was very comfortable and relaxing, with a lovely kitchen and dining area. The BBQ area was also great as was the downstairs area with extra bedrooms and the family room. Lovely house all round with an equally nice garden.
The location is perfect - walking distance to just about everything you'll need (supermarket across the road, most services within easy walking distance, and a manageable walk to the footbridge and beach). The hotel bistro is right next door. The rooms aren't super-luxurious, but they're clean, reasonably comfortable, and surprisingly quiet despite being on the highway.
we love this place!! The room is quite cute and VERY CLEAN with full facilities for the family. kids can run around enjoying the nature setting as well as feeding the birds in the morning and possums at night. The owner is super friendly and had good advice / tips for fishing sight-seeing and lots of other things. Strongly recommended and we definitely will book again!
Driftwood was in an excellent location with a great view. Very roomy with 2 separate living areas and bathrooms. Full sized kitchen with all you need to cook for a family if not eating out in one of the easy to walk to eateries.
Hosts were very responsive to any enquiry and the town house was very clean with a very comfy bed.
The location was good near to the lakes entrance main location.
Best part was we were late than expected and were travelling with a group.
We called them and they made sure that the room heaters are on so that by the time we reach its all warm for us and comfortable. The stay was good and we enjoyed. Thanks to the team.
I loved the bush setting, close to the rainforest of Kalimna. We were just a stone's throw to Lakes Entrance with its hustle and bustle and suburban style houses and shops and we could escape all that and return to the beautiful little cottage located in the bird-filled bush. We were cosy in the cottage.
What's not to like? Comfy, quiet, spacious. So nice we almost didn't make it out by 10am! After a hectic wet wet weekend in Melbourne we really appreciated the rest, and to wake up to sunshine in such a glorious place as Lakes Entrance was exactly what we needed! Thank you Central Hotel Motel!
Staff was friendly and welcoming. The place is very close to the beach and other amenities. They are pet friendly and there was a pool which the kids loved! Units were a good size and the place is good for a few families or friends holidaying together.
Everything. The wonderful owners provided the best equipped kitchen and rooms we had on our trip. Very comfortable. They had a large private pool to swim in as well. Wish we could have stayed longer. Parking was right in front of house off street.
Rob is an excellent host. Had guide us on things to do in lakes entrance. The property is very well maintained and has an amazing view of the ocean. Had everything in the property that you need to keep kids entertained. Will definitely going back.
Everything! Amazing clean and tidy room. Bed was a bit firm but ended up having the best sleep I've had in a long time. Restaurant there doesn't have a great menu but I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Lakes Entrance when I visit again
The kids loved the pool which was kept very clean.
We selected this hotel because it had a room large enough for a young family.
Kitchen facilities were good.
