Relatively good location, had everything we needed.
Riverbend Homestead is a secluded holiday home, surrounded by a working farm and set n the wilderness of the Victorian High Country, 5 minutes' drive from the town of Bright.

Harrietville is a nice little town, not as much overpopulated and overcrowded as Bright, for most people it is, unfortunately, just an overnight stop. I like Harrietville because it is so close to mt Feathertop and several other hiking trails, so it’s a perfect base. There is a river to chill in a hot day, though not much swimming can happen there. And do not forget about a bakery with pretzels, they are really good!

The restaurant and bar area was very welcoming and had multiple heaters and fire places. The staff offered to put them on while we were there. The location of the hotel and its proximity to Mt Hotham is very convenient.

Harrietville is a great little village, with a lot to offer.
Harrietville is a great little village, with a lot to offer. Close to Mt Hotham if you ski and with some great hikes in spring, autumn. A real sense of history to the area particularly if you are interested in gold rush times in Victoria. Beautiful stream running through the town. Great pubs with good simple tucker. Very friendly and a nice ambience at the Snowline pub. (We were next door, so it was very handy)

Very pretty area and close to awesome motorcycle riding areas through Mount Hotham, Omeo and Swifts Creek. Also close to Mount Beauty, Bright, Mytleford and many great day rides and attractions. Hotels and cafe's good but look for quieter and better accommodation options. Great place to base for several days to explore area.

A lovely quiet village away from the hustle of Bright.
A lovely quiet village away from the hustle of Bright. Lovely walks along the river, lots of tree coverage.
Enough facilities not to need to leave, cafe, pub, bakery. All in walking distance, never crowded,
I like Harrietville, it is quieter than Bright, less problems with parking and better access to hikes in the area, imo. Snowline hotel is no frills, but very functional - water is hot, plenty and with good pressure. Bed is comfy, room is clean. Fridge is small but fits everything i need. Hotel is attached to the pub that also serves food. And it’s just 200 meters to a bakery with pretzels :p
Harrietville Hotel-Motel was just as expected - its in a central Harrietville location (good for starting hikes), the staff were warm and friendly, the meals were very good and the room clean and comfortable with the basics provided (kettle, small fridge, toaster, towels etc).
Kitchen and everything else shut on arrival. Could not find anywhere else to eat in harrietville or Bright. Torrential rain ensued which was not the fault of the hotel however the rooms were no where near comfortable enough to spend every hour. We checked out 2 days early.
I go to the Harrietville music camp every January and this is my preferred motel of the 2 - better value and shady rooms (vital in January). I also like the large open wardrobe opposite the bathroom vanity which is effectively a dressing room at the back of the unit.
Wow, this is such a beautiful property in a tranquil, peaceful section of Harrietville. It was clean, full of charm and very comfortable. Our four legged family member was welcome and loved the close walking acces to the river. This property does not disappoint 😊
Great cottage, really lovely, with everything you needed. Right in the village of Harrietville, just outside of Bright. Lovely quiet location despite being on the main road through the village. Very high standard of accommodation, would definitely stay again.
Basic motel rooms but ease of check-in and check-out made it really easy and relaxed. Location is perfect for visiting Harrietville. Hotel staff was flat out with weddings and a nearby music event but staff still managed to very friendly "under the pump".
Great, well equipped and spacious cabin set in beautiful gardens with a mountain stream. Friendly hosts who respected our privacy, great location in the middle of harrietville. Hosts provided wood for the fire too which was perfect for winter evenings.
Absolutely EVERYTHING. Loved the area the local hotels the coffee van out the front.
Staff where just so helpful and very freindly.
I slept so well the bed was very comfortable.
Continental Breakfast was a bonus
Location was great for access to the Snow Resorts, the cottage was nice and atmospheric, Harrietville has some great local pubs and its a 20min drive to Bright with a supermarket and service stations.
Excellent hotel. Our family had a wonderful stay here. The accommodation was fantastic. The hotel brilliant. The food was excellent. The staff were all helpful and friendly.
