Absolutely fabulous! Havelock North is a quaint little place and a lovely place to explore including boutique shops (although a tad expensive). Lots of things to see close by including wineries, chocolate manufacturers ... may need a car. Great bar and restaurant downstairs. Central to everything. Accommodation was worth the expense; staff were friendly and accommodating.
Te Mata Lodge is located next to Anderson Park, a 10-minute drive from the Te Mata Peak. Featuring free parking on site, this property offers rooms with either a spa pool or a spa bath.

Location in the vines was beautiful. Vine tasting was an added bonus and having an excellent restaurant on site was great as well. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Definitely would recommend

I've been to Havelock North before but was happy to come back again. It is handily situated near Te Mata Peak and the beach communities of Haumoana. There are also a number of great wineries nearby - Black Barn is worth a visit for lunch and on Saturday for the small market. For a small town it has a great selection of eateries and clothing shops - I think the town is reasonably affluent. You can also hire bikes, which I have done before and cycle to the wineries or out to the sea.

We love this area for the vineyards.
We love this area for the vineyards. We had a beautiful lunch at Black Barn and an exceptional dinner at Craggy Range. Havelock North is easy to walk around and has some nice coffee stops. The outdoor pool is worth a visit in the summertime.

Havelock North is a lovely place to spend any length of time. The people are lovely and there are so many food experiences and activities to entertain the whole family both within the village and in nearby locations such as Napier.

Small attractive town centre with plenty of excellent cafes, restaurants and bars, as well as a small cinema, all within walking distance. Great access to Te Mata peak and wineries by car.
Strongly recommend the Thai restaurant, Sai, on Joll Rd. The food was great and the staff were wonderfully helpful.

We loved the location, the spa bath jets in Room 7 were not working. On the second morning of our stay, there had been overnight rain. The rain was in pools on the second floor deck and my partner slipped right over and hurt himself, whilst carrying bags to the car and some of our items got soaked in the water from the deck. Another guest was warned to be careful of the slippery deck and he advised he too had almost slipped over as well. Can we please constructively advise that a non-slip paint be applied, which would help prevent similar accidents. On the positive, we were very impressed with the level of cleanliness of the rooms and the meticulous cleaners, it was very impressive and felt good. Laundry and drier was a real bonus and pet-friendly facility meant our pet could enjoy Havelock North as much as we did.

We loved how quite it was and also the highlight of our trip was the Te Mata Peak. Such an amazing place. Also we loved all the out door parks. We went to Flaxmere and Hasting and they all had amazing out door park perfect for our kids.
The cleanest, cutest, fanciest little accommodation I ever did stay... and with a hot tub! We were only there for one night and it was perfect. We grabbed dinner near by and cozied up for the night, bed is super comfy, shower is great pressure, kitchenette is very well equipped, fans and air con as well. Never met the host but very easy to txt and communicate. Airbnb is on the same property as host but don't the back and fenced off, felt very private.
We appreciated the cereal, milk, bread, butter and a large choice of teas and coffee. The accommodation was very clean, comfortably furnished, very spacious with large bathrooms and excellent linen. Lots of wardrobe space and hangers - this is excellent when travelling. The location is within easy walking distance of restaurants, cafes and shops and yet situated in a quiet street with a bushy outlook and birdsong.
Location and parking was excellent - very handy and easy.
Hotel itself was lovely - the decor was tasteful and felt very new and well cared for.
Cleanliness was great - immaculate, with excellent attention to detail.
Without exception staff were very professional and pleasant - they matched the quality of the hotel, and are a credit to your business
The host was very friendly and has awesome communication.
The property is not too far from the shops within Havelock North.
The property is clean, tidy and hidden in amongst the hills and trees.
It was good to have breakfast cereals, bread, coffee and milk available on arrival, thank you.
Awesome for our team while we are in the Bay for work.
Very comfortable bed and room. The proprietor went to great trouble to find us a room that did not have the spa in the room. The lounge area has two extremely comfortable chairs for viewing the TV. Very obliging staff. The motel has a great location about a two-minute walk from shops and cafes in a lovely part of Havelock North
Awesome scenic location in a beautiful old cottage. Amazing! Hosts are very thoughtful with what they've provided, including delicious fresh bread and other goodies for breakfast, too. You won't regret staying here. Top tip - duck down to the Red Bridge coffee cart (2 min drive) in the morning for some of the best coffee in Hawkes Bay!
I love the feel of the place, it has great character and is super comfortable. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Havelock North. It is literally next door to cafes and restaurants, making for a lovely stroll to go and find somewhere nice for a coffee or a meal. I highly recommend!
The apartment is beautifully furnished and it has everything you need for your stay. The kitchen is well equipped, there is a washing machine and dryer and if you like, there is a swimming pool! Location is excellent, and we will certainly stay here again if we visit Havelock North!
excellent location. walking distance to all the shops and cafes of Havelock North. Very clean rooms, that were surprisingly soundproof. We were so grateful to be able to find somewhere that we could bring our dog along with us on holiday.
La petite maison is a small one bedroom cottage close to Havelock North village.
It was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished, warm and quiet.
The courtyard was lovely and private and the outdoor bath luxurious
Havelock North village on your doorstep. A lot of food and drink options within an easy walk, comfortable beds, air con in the unit, quiet despite being on a busy intersection. Space outside for kids to run around.
the garden studio was absolutely lovely.
We were in Havelock North for a funeral and needed a private, quiet and comfy place to stay. This was perfect.
Spacious, spotlessly clean, comfy bed and lovely facilities
We had an amazing stay. The tiny house is so cute and very comfortable. The view is incredible, and Rochelle and Clayton were so welcoming. We will definitely come and stay again when we are in Havelock North.
