We only had a one night stay over and would have loved to stay longer at the properly to drive out and explore further afield from what we did on foot . There was a lovely weekend community event on with live music and fireworks on the beachfront -was a brilliant atmosphere .

Perfect spot to stay in order to hike the area close to II WW bunkers/batteries remains, cliff area around Calais/Boulonge Sur Mer and explore the coastline of Cap Gris-Nez/Blanc-Nez. Absolutely beautiful and interesting. Beaches also nice, not crowded and water is a beauty. You can also windsurf, standup paddling and other water sports. From here you can also visit other nearby towns and do day hikes.

Ambleteuse is a small village next to the sea.

Ambleteuse is a small village next to the sea. Don't expect the touristic maintenance you can see in other places on the French coast. It is beautiful, but kind of rusty. Old buildings, a few German bunkers. The people are just lovely and friendly and the fort is very interesting place to visit.

Good sized village with several restaurants and supermarket with wide range of wines. We ate at the Fort des Caps, which has a restricted but satisfactory menu afternoons. It is popular in the evenings. Takeaway pizzas also were good. The fort and beachfront are scenic and photoworthy.

Pleasant small town, had been to Audresselles to eat several times but had never visited Ambleteuse. We were lucky the sun was shining and we throughly enjoyed walking along the promenade and finding the way down to the beach and then relaxing with a drink on the small balcony in front of the appartment. A good find.

Well equipped Aparthotel, conveniently located for Channel Tunnel. Beach, fort and dunes nearby a pleasure to visit. Some local services away from the beach: bars, restaurants, bakery. Not far to the south is Wimereux which has cafes on its promenade. We have stayed overnight a number of times and also a few days as an off-season destination in itself. We will be staying again.

We arrived past check in times and the hotel was aware. We received no information on any facilities available and opening times, breakfast, check out , wifi so all the general details were not in place. The room was open as we were informed. Nice breakfast afterall.
