Parys is pretty and peaceful.
Parys is pretty and peaceful. Yes, there are potholes...but the locals, shop-owners and ambience of town, more than make up for that! Modern aminities for a small town. Quaint coffee shops and a long main road full of tourist type shops to keep one busy for a couple of hours. Plumb Tree has friendly staff and a hearty menu to satisfy any hunger pangs. Liewers Coffee is perfectly placed in centre of town to provide well prepared and pleasing-to-the-palate meals. Staff make one feel extremely welcome!

I liked the tranquility of the place and watching the boats...
I liked the tranquility of the place and watching the boats going by the river, the friendliness of the hosts/staff. The hosts were willing to go and extra mile to make our stay as comfortable as possible by now and then checking and asking if we needed anything. The cleaning staff were quite disappointing as they ddnt clean our room during our stay not even makeup our bed. We just felt the hosts need to check also if they've done proper cleaning we have stated that there are certain things or areas that I was not very pleased with.CharleneSouth Africa - 10Scored 10

Always finds something i love. The icecream, restaurants and outdoor angling shop is a must. New checkers a pleasure to shop at.easy to access all shops and restaurants walking distance. We entered Parys at night in the dark (loadshedding) and...
We entered Parys at night in the dark (loadshedding) and didn't realise just then what a funky little town Parys is. We had a wonderful dinner and fun time at Hoi Paloi. When we left Parys early the next morning we could actually see all the wonderful shops and restaurants. Wish we had more time to explore. We will definitely be back!RianaSouth Africa - 6.0Scored 6.0
The O's restaurant was fabulous as was the Pary Golf course.
The O's restaurant was fabulous as was the Pary Golf course. The lunch venue known as Hot Chocolate was great however the breakfast venue we chose- the Koffiehuis was disappointing, so overpriced for what youy get. Parys as a whole had so many beggars and car guards, appears to be a town that is struggling with the present economic conditons and service delivery by the local authorities.BrydalSouth Africa
