The location is second to none, incredible ocean and mountain vistas almost wherever you look, but what really made this experience something special are the staff, they are attentive, engaging and friendly. What really struck me about the staff is how much they actually care about your experience, always asking “can I help you with x” or “we can do y if that’s better for you” etc without skipping a beat!

Breakfast was very good, with orders for freshly cooked eggs, bacon etc taken. Gorgeous view over the sea and coastline. Well placed for a stroll along the seashore. Easy drive to restaurants in town.

Saxon Lodge is situated in Gansbaai, which is known as the ideal location for White Shark diving and whale watching.

Rooms basic but functional, large shared fridge was good for larger bottles and food. Bar was cozy although not able to access after returning from restaurants.

Our stay was amazing, we had everything we needed, the cleaning lady was so sweet apologizing for the construction work happening at the Cove, she looked ready to throw them out☺️The host was kind enough to let me know before we arrived about the last minute work that was happening. It's a beautiful location the sunrise the sunset the in between, all so breathtaking. I'll definitely be back no questions asked 🌼
