Great place outside Gaios with everything you need for a great stay on the island. A car is useful but fit and healthy people will have no trouble getting around, beach and beach bar 400 m away. There is a path to town via Villa Plagia up the hill but fitness is the key. All in all a great little holiday in a beautiful place.
Featuring a balcony with sea views, a garden and a terrace, Avali luxury houses can be found in Gaios, close to Gianas Beach and 700 metres from Plakes Beach.

The location, virtually on the sea front. The quality off the furnishings, very tasteful and modern. Everything worked fine. The hostess was very helpful and friendly. Good space to park car.

Very clean apartments. We appreciated the mosquito screens on the windows, the air conditioning in the bedrooms and the pool area.

The main island town with a great waterfront and lanes. It has two fishmongers, bakeries, butchers and supermarkets. Plenty of bars and restaurants. A very pleasant place to be at for a couple of weeks. We walked a lot whilst there and recommend other visitors to do the same.

Gaios is not the traditional "chora" you meet in other Greek islands. There are no proper roads and enough parking. It is like they are not prepared for tourism over there. The authorities there must really provide safer, wider roads and better parking. The center of Gaios has a private parking with rates that don't even exist in the center of Athens (3 euros/hour). If you are not a tourist owning a big boat you are not really welcome there.
Also it is extremely expensive for unknown reasons. Dining is poor overall, the restaurants are of medium quality and unreasonably expensive. In example, a family of four would need at least 120 euros per meal.

Extremely beautiful town! It is a treat for your eyes!
Extremely beautiful town! It is a treat for your eyes! You will see building of nice old architecture next to a beautiful sea with the most clear waters you have ever seen and then the green of trees that reach almost the shore!
Lot's of nice places for food (do try breakfast at "Kalimera" and dinner at "Mambo"), drinks (awesome scenery at "Porto Vecchio") and the best ice-cream ever at "Il-Capricio"!

I didn't go to Gaios many times so my opinion cannot be very reliable but from the few times I did, I didn't like it very much. I prefer Loggos more.
Regarding restaurants we just had souvlaki in Gaios ( George's corner I think was good enough for it). We prefered to go to other villages for dinner or lunch.

Perfect spot, stay near the town so you do not need transport. There are lots of excellent bars and restaurants around both in the square and alleys but best overlooking the harbour people watching. A day trip to Antipaxos is recommended. Reminded us of what Corfu was like 30 years ago, very friendly and we will be going back sooner rather than later.

We had 3 full days and 2 nights.
We had 3 full days and 2 nights. I wuold recommend another 1-2 days. We should have spent more time in Logos. Its a beautiful tiny local harbour with excellent food and beach approx 5 min walk from the harbour. Village of Lakka is only a 15min drive/ taxi or bus. We should have spent another day there. Note that we found no beaches with sunloungers, so be prepared to sit on ground. There is a new port and an old port, walking distance between the two aong the water. Dont walk the road like we did. And Gaios Port is great for eating / drinking and shopping. Only 5 taxis on the island. The Taxi stop is the same as the Bus stop in Gaios. Take a card from one of the taxi drivers and make your arrangements with him to drop off and pick up over the course of your visit. We found Nikos to be very reliable.
We enjoyed our stay, though need to highlight some things about the details on this website about it.
What we liked:
- Excellent central location- we caught the boat to Antipaxos just a 5-minute walk from the accommodation. Very close to lots of good restaurants and beaches.
- very comfortable bed (firm mattress)
- effective air conditioning
- clean towels and bin empty mid-week
- Property was clean
This property is probably best for either solo travellers or a couple.
We loved everything about our stay at the villa, the amazing pool, the sensational view and perfect location. Andreas our host was delightful and so helpful, and friendly. The position at the top of the hill looks straight over Gaios, and is the most wonderful view. The hill is very steep, thankfully Andreas rented us a car which was perfect for our needs. The next time we holiday in Paxos, I will definitely be staying here again. Thanks Andreas from all of us!
We enjoyed the great hospitality of Margina's staff. It never felt like a hotel. They made us feel special and were super kind to us. The view from all the rooms is amazing - actually you can spend an entire vacation just sitting on the porch and relaxing. The location is also perfect- 5 minutes walk from the heart of the city of Gaios, but also calm. It's about 20 minutes of walk from Paxos main port. Bottom line - highly recommended!
We loved everything about our stay in this beautiful B&B ! The location is just perfect , you are within 1 minute walking distance from the port and literally 1 minute walking distance from everything! The owner is very friendly and gave us good tips of where to eat etc . Room was spotlessly clean! Thank you Giannis for having us over and we can’t wait to stay in your place again the next time we are in Paxos :)
I start by saying that the location is fantastic,
It was a perfect vacation, Paxos is one of the best Greek islands in my opinion.
The host was super helpful from the first moment we met him with great kindness, affection and professionalism.
Every morning the apartment was cleaned.
I highly recommend this accommodation since I am also a host I felt like home.
I hope to go back one day.🖤🇬🇷
Greetings from Rome
The flat is located at the heart of Gaios steps away from cafes, restaurants and bars; 10 mins walk away from the ferries coming from Corfu. It has 2 spacious bedrooms and a nice living room. The terrace is lovely and you can enjoy the sea view. Paola was also very sweet. The bathroom was a bit small but manageable. We didn’t cook but all utensils were there.
Comfortable with everything you need and extras in studio you don’t always expect such as iron and sun umbrellas.
Host was very helpful , picking us up from port and being very kind in printing out documents for us just before we left.
Would definately recommend as peaceful area and easy to get to restaurants etc in Gaios. Would stay again.
Lovely property, very nicely renovated. Situated right on the harbour above a cafe. You are right in the thick of things. Views from the property are lovely, watching the boats come and go. Quiet at night as very good new windows. Aircon works well too. Paxos is beautiful, we hired a scooter to get around. Erimitis Beach is worth a visit.
This accommodation is perfect for enjoying lovely Gaios. It is at the quiet end of town with wonderful views of the water and town. Everything is clean and very well maintained and it has all you need to enjoy a holiday. The host and staff are very friendly and helpful with local information and suggestions. We would definitely return.
We had a group of 6 and the villa worked out very well. Everything was clean and comfortable. The outside pool area is very well designed and lovely. The owner, Andreas, was very helpful and quick to respond to our questions. I would recommend this villa to others looking for a family/group vacation on Paxos.
The apartment is in the perfect location. Right next to the sea, lots of cafes and restaurants around the apartment. The host is a great person and always responded very quickly to our requests or queries. It was pleasure staying at Paxos FairyTales and would love to stay there again whenever I visit Paxos.
Very close to Gaios, amazing location to explore the island. The Room was great. The pool and the view make it a great place to rest and enjoy the peacefullness of Paxos. The host was very Nice and we were able to rent a scooter on site, which is the best way to explore the island. Highly recommended!
Opera House is everything we could have hoped for and more. From the little treats left in our room to the artistic details of the apartment and outdoor area, the owners have created a little Oasis on the beautiful island of Paxos.
Nice location up off the Main Street of Gaios. apartment is well-equipped, though a bit dated. but was very comfortable and enjoyed the views from the balcony. it is worth spending the few extra euros for an upper floor studio.
Perfectly located overlooking the beautiful water of Paxos. You can walk down some steps and swim off the rocks. you can walk into the port in 5 minutes. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.
Wonderful and caring host. Decoration was cute. Location is very good. If you are adventurous or looking to stay in an old "authentic" Paxos house, this might be okay for you.
Great location, the house is very clean and comfortable, the hosts are very kind and helpful. The house also has a convenient parking lot which is very important on Paxos.
Very good location; quiet, but central. The apartment has everything one could need, and is still affordable compared to other properties on Paxos. Great, friendly host!
Modern apartment and comfortable beds. Close to Gaios. We were also greeted by the host at the port, which was helpful as the complex is hard to locate.
