Kanz Erremal, hotel in Merzouga

Kanz Erremal is located in the heart of the desert itself, immersed in the fascinating landscape of the dunes of Erg Chebbi, in the south-east of Morocco.

My one-night stay in this room was extraordinary. The spacious and tastefully decorated room, coupled with a stunning bathroom, provided a luxurious experience. Waking up to a surprise view of the Sahara Desert from the balcony was simply magical, especially with camels in sight. The option for both a great breakfast and dinner on-site was convenient, and the location amidst the dunes was perfect. I highly recommend this place for an unforgettable desert experience.

The owner greeted us personally and made us feel very welcome. He did not push for us to go on extra excursions nor did he request us to focus on checking in immediately. He made it clear we were to focus on getting comfortable after our long journey. He spent time getting to know us and set a beautiful candlelit dinner up for us by the pool. The next day he drove us to the nearest village where we could buy lunch, and supplies for our stay in a desert camp the next day. He also drove us to our meeting point after check out. All of this at no extra charge. He also provided us with his contact details in case we hit any snags during our stay in the area. Our room was perfect with plenty of space. We were also given a tour of the hotel and I can attest that the other rooms were also stunning.

We did eat at Kasba Planet Sahara, Food was great, local, well prepared by the lady cook, just a bit too big portions :):):) Excellent! Outdoor meal was in the desert - grill - local type - wow, we all enjoyed! Additionally, was easy to walk arround and to have a drink in some local caffee shops - very nice. Avoid ..!? to short stay to avoid anything, just add few more days.

Booked this hotel to rest up after our overnight desert camp stay the night before - main agenda was to hang out poolside. All public spaces - courtyard, garden, poolside, terraces - are so much nicer than photos on booking. We felt like we were in a resort and enjoyed our stay immensely - we didn't want to leave the property and wished we could spend another day. Our room was huge, quiet, beds comfortable, air conditioning wonderful. Free parking on premises. Staff was great and we had the best breakfast of our trip.

Quiet location in a desert, away from other camps. Very good dinner (the best tajine we ate in Morocco), good breakfast. Listening Berber songs and playing drums in the evening near the fire was lovely experience. Good hosts in the camp. The man at the reception in Merzouga was very helpful and nice. Also a young Berber with a guitar in the camp was nice and talkative. I recommend to go one way to the camp riding a camel and returning next day with a jeep. A camp was nothing special but clean and comfortable.

Palmyra Luxury Camp was one of the options suggested to us by a friend of ours who is familiar with this part of Morocco, and opted for it based on the reviews on Tripadvisor and other online travel forums. I must say that we certainly made the right choice: The food was top-notch, the staff were super kind, friendly and courteous, our tent was more luxurious than expected with all the modern comfort and convenient facilities. A fantastic experience in the desert that was made easy and seemless by Hassan. He organised everything and it all worked very well. In addition, we had 6 hours to wait for the trip with camels over the sand Dunes after arriving in Merzouga and he arranged for us to be at a pool at his families hotel for the cost of a lunch. This was a good deal - somewhere to go with a nice pool and view. I'd recommend using this company for your desert stay.

We stayed with my little family at Riad Les Roches Marzouga, it has a great location on the edge of the desert, good facilities and the pool was very welcoming during the heat of the day. The owners were also very helpful - we went on a night excursion to the hotel's desert camp which was a nice trip - there was dancing, singing, Berber music and we also enjoyed the atmosphere and stargazing which we enjoyed very much.

We stayed 1 night in the desert camp, one of the best place in Merzouga in the tents they have in the desert , nice food , location of the camp in the middle of the desert , and the truth is that there are no words to describe how beautiful it is. We stayed here for 2 nights and the room + bathroom was the biggest and most clean we had in morocco. The breakfast was perfect, pastries, moroccan bread / pancakes, eggs etc. From the Riad you can easily walk into the desert on your own or book a camel / atv / etc. Tour direct at the Riad or in Merzouga. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and we can recommend this Riad :)

Beautiful, the staff are very friendly and available to help. Definitely my best stay and overall experience in my trip to Morocco, would recommend the camp and will come back. Food is really good and even fresh bread from Merzouga for breakfast! It's a small camp compared to other and will give you a more intimate experience of the desert

The room was very big with all the amenities that we needed for a comfortable stay after all the desert activities that got us dirty and tired. After a week's trip in Morocco, this was the only hotel that served hot and crispy flat bread.

Fantastic hotel in the desert near Merzouga. It was a much needed night of rest and relaxation before going out into the desert the next day. The food was great and we got upgraded to a suite which made the experience a little more sweet.

Everything was perfect for our trip into the Sahara. The tent was nicer than most hotel rooms- definitely luxury camping! The ride out with camels was incredible, the guides were great.
