The Lion at Malpas is located only 15 minute drive from Whitchurch. From the outset we were welcomed to the hotel by Lisa (Assistant manager) who checked us in & helped us resolve a booking issue we had. The rooms are located adjacent to the main bar/restaurant building, which offers easy access day or night. Our room was spacious and very well appointed and spotlessly clean with fresh decor throughout. The surrounding garden areas are beautifully designed and well maintained. I would highly recommend The Lion at Malpas to anyone.

Quiet and peaceful, Clean and comfortable, beautiful scenery, beds were comfortable, they had the most amazing shower and there was a huge bath in the room too, there was a skylight right above the bed which was grand.

The Lion at Malpas is located in Malpas which is a 15 minute drive from the nearest main town of Whitchurch. The rooms are located adjacent to the main restaurant/bar area which offers a much quieter surrounding. All of the garden areas are beautifully kept and maintained which only adds to the whole experience. Our room was spacious and well designed with plenty of wardrobe/storage space, large comfortable bed and decent bathroom with both bath & shower. I would highly recommend The Lion at Malpas to any one either passing through or looking for a longer stay in an idyllic setting. The staff are very welcoming and keen to assist at all times making our stay even more pleasurable. A big thank you to Lisa (assistant manager) who helped us overcome a minor issue with our booking - what a star !!!Francis BoxallIreland - 10Scored 10

The reception on our late arrival, the rapid arrangements for dinner, excellent menu and choices of wine and beer, excellent room and assistance with luggage in very poor weather. Very popular and therefore parking (on Saturday night) could not be reserved and was not straightforward. Malpas is on a busy narrow high.street.

A beautiful house in a country setting. I had a very large bedroom with lovely views over the grounds including a lake. Spotlessly clean and we felt all covid rules were followed implicitly. Would highly recommend Janet Tully

Absolutely no expense has been spared - the room was very spacious, beds comfortable, fabulous bath and shower, everything was fab. The staff were all hugely accommodating - really friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. The breakfast was one of the best breakfasts we have ever had and the bar and restaurant were a pleasure. Would definitely recommend .
