Busy central area. Was quite easy to find our way around. Had to park our car a mile away from our hotel as first green, free parking, area around us. Not great to then have to carry bags back to the hotel.
Too cold and windy to go on the beach, but I think it would be lovely to go there when the weather is sunny. We were only there for 24 hours but would like to return to see more of the area.

Ostend is fine for a couple of nights.
Ostend is fine for a couple of nights. Some good bar/restaurants where we had excellent steak. Good selection of great Belgian beers too. Ostend is only a half hour from Bruges (even quicker by train), so can be used a a base to explore Flanders. It's also only an hour or so from Calais (and on a good road) so easy to get to.

Ostend was very attractive.
Ostend was very attractive. There are lots of big green parks to wander through, and a huge sandy beach with a big promenade. There are lots of bars and cafes, and also some attractive old parts of town where Paris-style balconied apartments can be viewed. There are buses and trams in town, and the train takes only 11 minutes to get to Bruges for day trips.

I visited ManiFiesta, an annual festival of solidarity at the Wellington horse track. It takes place in early September and it's a wonderful opportunity to see live music and dance, but also for debates, films and to meet like-minded people from all over Europe. I met trade unionists from all across the world, amazing. So nice that you can visit the festival and also enjoy the beach and the city of Ostend.

we go every year for the W-Festival. a lovely music festival accompanied by the lovely seaside ambient, beautiful promenade and beaches. Very close to Ghent and Brugges. reachable by train. An hour train from Brussels, 15 mins to Brugges and 30 mins to Ghent- Sint Peters.
Bed was surprisingly comfy. Even though the room was relatively small, I still had enough space to move around properly. Basically for one person is more than sufficient, but I wouldn't be so sure about two. I'd say it's more of a weekend hotel or just to spend a night. Wouldn't recommend it to spend the whole day cuz it starts to feel claustrophobic after longer period of time. Also the heating self adjusting system is superb!
Seeing the location of the hotel (just in front of the beach), the price is very reasonable. What's more, our two dogs staid at no extra cost!!! This is almost unheard of!
The room was nice and cosy, very spacious. Downstairs there was a bar, ping pong and a play area for kids.
I really recommend this hotel, and we'll be back for sure on our next travels to Oostende.
The AD pictures do not do any justice to this apartment. It feels just like being home, everything that is needed is provided, parking is easy, the location is perfect for Oostend. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and next time we visit, we will definitely look at staying again if available. Can’t recommend this property enough! It really is a great find.
- Lovely location near Ostend beach. Partial view of the beach and ocean.
- Good kitchen appliances and a wide variety of cooking utensils.
- The flat is well-stocked with cleaning supplies.
- Very user-friendly check in experience. The host provides a notebook on-site, with useful basic information.
- The furnishings are reasonably comfortable.
the appartament is the most beautiful we have in Belgium (and we have more than 8 apparments). Warm but chic with fantastic windows and in few step you can reach the North sea and Ostende beach. the appartment is very well equipped.
We really recomend this apartment .
Most interesting location, as Hôtel des Thèrmes was opened in the Thirties by the Belgian King. Parts of the hotel are not in use, but the rooms that are in use, are great. Staff is dressed in uniform. Old charm.
The location is the hotel's best asset. It is right in the middle of the center of Oostende, very near the beach, the shoppingstreet Kapellenstraat, and the concert hall and casino Kursaal. Easily to acces
Very cosy room in a quiet neighbourhood.
Reception by Annemie was very warm and breakfast was top!
