A lovely hotel in beautifully renovated building. The rooms are spacious, fresh, clean, and well appointed. Very friendly and super helpful staff. A excellent and generous breakfast buffet. Pirna is an ideal base if you want to explore Saxon Switzerland. The Old Town is compact but very lovely. It has very tranquil ambiance, which suits travelers seeking a peaceful getaway. For the people to love old architecture, Pirna is a gem as it is completely unspoiled with modern concrete monsters. There are many great restaurants and cafes within the Old Town, though most close quite early. From Pirna, it only takes within less than 1 hour to get to Bastei, Bad Schandau or other smaller towns.AnFinland

You can self cater if you want to, or you are close to bars and restaurants of altstadt Pirna if you prefer. Supermarket and bakery right across the road, and right behind that was the bridge across the Elbe that takes you directly to the railway station or into the pretty town centre with a 10-20 minute walk. Super location for day trips into Dresden - about a 30 minute rail trip - or going down the Elbe to explore the excellent walking tracks.

In fact, I have not had a better bed on my travels. I would happily have stayed much longer than the 5 days I was there as the city of Pirna has a lot to offer. It is only a 20 minute train ride to Dresden and only 20 minutes to Bad Schandau and the Saxon Switzerland national park. The owners were very attentive to our needs. Wifi worked well. I recommend this apartment highly

There is a lot of parking options available nearby, including e-car charging spots. The store is close if you need to buy something. The walk into the old town was easy, maybe 10 or 15 minutes, and the town of Pirna seemed very safe, even at night walking to a restaurant for take-out. The train station had regular trains running into Dresden and down to other stations on the Elbe. Likewise, the bus service was regular and timely.

There was everything we needed and a parking slot for our three bicycles under a roof, that was important, because of the rain. The entrance with a code, that you have to imply after moving down the upper part of the box near the entrance door (where stays the name of the apartment).
